Go with 35% on everything (except windshield unless you want that done too). It will be a light tint that you can see through, but is definitely nice to drive in.

I'm gonna try to figure out what the tint on the sunroof is. It's not very dark, but I can look straight at the sun through it and it doesn't hurt my eyes at all, but without the tinted roof, I can't stare at the sun for more than a few seconds.

Regardless of tint laws, if you plan on having fun in your rear seat, 20% rear and 35% front is a nice combination (illegal as the fronts are @ 35% in most states). However, this combo appears legal. It simply looks like most factory-stock SUVs look--dark tinted windows and significantly-lighter fronts.
I have 35 all-around currently because I wanted the balanced, not-too-illegal look, but I wouldn't mind having the rears @ 20% either...for backseat fun if that (n)ever happens .

If they pull you over for tint violation, what could they ask you to do? Is it possible that they said that you car has to be tolled to wherever it needs to go to get rid of the tints? Or will he just give me a ticket with 50 dollars fee and let me drive away?

They can give you a fix it ticket, or I've heard in some cases, the cops making people remove the tint then and there. They may be a... ______ cop like the one who gave me a ticket for my tint. He knew where I worked as he had seen my car parked there, and asked me if that was in fact me. "Yes, I'm just stopping by my friends here real quick before I go to work." (He pulled into the driveway after I was parked and parked right behind me and got out and told me to just stay in the car. I didn't even know he was there until he yelled that.) He then proceeded to wait 1/4 mile down the road that I'd have to use to get to work, I'd assume to get me again since he told me technically I should not drive my car on public roads again until it is fixed. Too bad for him my friend drove me to work in his truck. He then drove by my work for about 3 weeks trying to find the car that I wasn't driving.

Yeah, pretty much. Why look for all of the drunks and druggies that drive around here in beat up cars with bald tires, no taillights, smoke and so on? Tint is so much more important, especially when it is someone who goes to school, work and has no record...

Cops can be really annoying when they do that. One of my friends told me that he kept on getting in trouble with the same cop over his aftermarket exhaust.

Keep in mind, SOME cars just look plain ridiculous with tinted windows, especially dark tint. Almost reminds me of a drug dealer or Pimp's car. I do like tint, but for reasons stated here about the police, I'm at that age where I don't need the attention or the trouble. Just me though.

So when are you going to get the tint?

In a few weeks, maybe as late as September because I need to save up some money for school's text books and such. I don't want to spend my money on tinting my car if I won't be able to afford to buy books.

Good call. I'm finishing my summer session tonight and must register for the forthcoming fall semester ASAP! And books...ugh that's one thing for which I always forget to save.

I think I'm done buying books, lol. Out of the probably 30-40 something books I have bought, I have only used about 3 or 4 of them. Only a month left then freedom is gone once again, lol.

Hahaha, luckily I'm a sciences major, so I only need one text book per course most of the time. Some of my friends are politics major, and they need as many as 7 or 8 books per class sometimes...

So i have an '08 black civic with a pink pin stripe, and i cant decide between 5% or 2.5%...i want something that will make that pin stripe stand out more.
