I started about age 15, because my dad had a body shoop in his auto repair center and I had to help out. My first Meg's experience was polishing cars with M07 so they could be waxed.

About 16+ years ago I started taking intrest in keeping my cars up. My father-in-law had a lot to do with that. I tried using several different types of waxes, I had no idea that claybaring and cleaning paint existed. I started using Meguiars and found that it seemed to work better than the other brands. After finding this site, and learning more about how to take care of what I have, I grab Meg's stuff 99.99% of the time!

What got me hooked is the more than affordable price. I can't really compare the product effects with other products because I've never used other products (mainly because they're more expensive than Meguiars).

Well I guess I could say more. Pretty much I respect the dedication Meguiar's has to its customers. I also appreciate their "open" view on other products and non pushy attitude.

Mike Phillips had a huge part in it even though I never met the guy. His view "Find what you like and keep using it" or similar was very respectable.

In general, Meguiar's provided me a wealth of information and earned my loyalty, as they demonstrated their intention was clearly to make cars look fantastic regardless of product, although they provided the products for convenience.

My Dad was somewhat into detailing. He always told me Meg's was the best. Every year he would polish/wax his cars. For years he used Turtle Wax paste, but it was hard to apply and remove. He then was told to try Meg's so he Did the Consumer Steps 1 & 2 then did Gold Class liquid wax. He was amazed with the results. He used to let me help him with the job too. But, now I am a loyal user for my business. It's hard to beat Meg's

I was at the Carisle All Chrysler Nationals and Meguiars had their truck there and I kept looking through all their products.

You know I live less then an hour away from Carlise and not once have I ever been to one of the car show events.

Well I guess that's gonna have to change next spring, take the little one out to see all the shiny cars and obtain some hard to find Meg's products!!

Gold class liquid wax,saw it on the shelves and gave it a try.
It worked wonders on my dark blue Renault.
switched to NXT 2 since i use a silver Nissan.

Back in the 60's, as a teen, I would go to any Corvette car show I could find. All the Vette guys used Meguiars M07 to make their vette's look awesome. Been hooked ever since.

What! lol I'm going back this year again. Meguiar's had a very large selection and had their whole professional line or products to purchase. I've gotta try and stay away from their booth next year so I don't drain my wallet.

I am proud to tell all my friends, strangers alike....i found & proven to be the best car care product avail on earth. It was back in 2003, when my younger bro brought a Gold class wax & a hitachi polisher & saying he is going to do detailing....part time...i was like doubting his credibility & ability...come on being 13 yrs older & had many rides & waxed more rides than u & doubting

but when i saw his finish waxing, i was astonished & fell in love with Meguiars,
i tried his rotary & burn my own bumper & accidentaly fell on my hood...
later I got hold of some Step 1 & step 2 & a Random Orbiter Machine....started to polish any ride come along my way....everybody like me making their rides shine... had to stop for 18 months when my wife conceived our 2nd daughter, moved to a further place...deter me from detailing........till my neighbours who sold honda cars, got himself a new City & i told him, i can make it better than new....

Ta ta ta, he fell in love with megs after i details his new ride & he got me another 2 more Honda's for me to details & thats it...time to resurface & got my self some pro products & a Rotary & met another some crazy megs fanatics & BIG BANG took place....M86 solo kit /M105/M 80 / D 151/ M135/ M21/clay & more......M205 & now thinking of G220 v2

since then , i think i have scraped off tons of CC....LOL & all my neighbour known me as a paint renovator...one who transform car anew

I am proud of Megs & his integrity, I cant seems to find any sexy models & pretty girl on any of his sites or products...Barry being a man of integrity & dedicated to bring his family heritage to another level & sharing it to us.if u ask me now

What got me hooked on meguiars?

All of you did!

The first time I was looking through google to find a quality car care forum, not knowing what to expect. when I came across this site and looked through a few posts, I was amazed at the job you guys did on your vehicles, and how amazing the products seemed to be working on your vehicles. So I just had to try some for my own. Not long after I first used my meguiars claybar and gold class paste wax I was hooked.

What got me hooked? I bought some Goldclass wash and Gold class wax for my old 95 Z28. Loved the deep look and smoothness I got. Hooked ever since.

I have used and still use some of these: Black Magik, Rain-X, Eagle One and so on. I was finally making the decision to detail the car myself instead of taking it somewhere, which looking back at the pictures, I now know to be buffer trail city. I was trying to find information about the detailing process since all of the others simply have waxes. You know, how do you make actually make it look clean, and "good" looking? Stumbled across the AutoRX from the main site, went and bought all of that stuff, did the process (Deep Crystal System and clay), and it was a done deal after that.
