Re: Are you concerned about the Swine Flu?

I'm not worried, its all for a good news hype. If it was honestly that bad, everything would shut down. Yes it is bad, yes it causes death but so does drunk driving and speeding.

I wont be worried about it until I have it. But then again I never worry about anything because its just not worth it.

I'm not concerned, I guess I'm just ignorant....?

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

            I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
            Remove swirls my friends.

Re: Are you concerned about the Swine Flu?

Working in a jail, we are exposed to everything under the sun.....

Hep A-Z, Aids/HIV, MRSA (bad stuff, hard to get rid of and isolate the individual(s) and among other nasty diseases.

I am concerned as rubber gloves and officer safety can only go so far when someone spits in your face unexpectedly (and get gently placed in a prone position)

So, yeah, I fear getting something someday but I am very cautious! I wash my hands all the time and really watch my back, sides, front toes, head, fingers etc!

15 years on the job as a line staff officer (not a sarge that sits on his duff) is a long time to not get exposed, I've seen others get possibly exposed, cut fingers on razors, sharp items, tatoo equipment hidden and not seen until poked. It's not fun sometimes.

              Yeppers. Concerned a little.

Too many years of Pen VK and anti-bacteria soaps to grow these critters into what they are now. My theory anyways.....

Re: Are you concerned about the Swine Flu?

I'm not too worried about this.....yet. I believe there's alot of hype on this flu virus. According to the CDC the symptoms are the same as your garden variety flu with the exception of some cases reporting vomiting and diarrhea.
The young, old, and those with comprimised immune systems are inherently at risk of catching any type of flu....or anything else as a matter of fact since their immune systems are not up to par.
Being in EMS the swine flu is on the low end of my watch out for list. There are plenty other bugs out there that will take you down before this will. We'll just have to see how this will play out.

I think this is a perfect example of 3fitty's hype in detailing thread....only shown in a different light.

Nappers I fully agree with ya! Except the prisons that I go to are the RETIREMENT HOMES!

I'm surprised L.A. hasn't been hit with more cases of this disease. I'm scheduled to go to Cancun next month . Hopefully things get better. For the most part right now I'm not too worried.

I'm not concerned about it at all. The Canadian border officers probably wouldn't let is pass anyway without proper documentation. Oh wait, that's me!

I'm just waiting for the Department of Homeland Security and the CDC to classify the virus as "micro-terrorists" and raise the threat level to "feverish"

As long as this doesn't raise bacon prices, I'm cool.

Pigs are a wonderful, magical animal. They turn whatever they eat into bacon! Give them an apple they turn it into bacon. Mmmmm bacon!
