They are suppose to be very soft but what I think is more of a problem is the dirt and grime that is stuck in the 'brush' and the car washes that don't change the brushes as they should to cut back on expenses.

Time to get rid of the water blade.
              seriously, that thing is amazing.
I guess I will just keep a good coat of wax on it and take the loss

What is the proper way to dry it then?

                waffle weave
                microfiber towels
you can use water to dry your car as well if it has a good coat of wax on it

I do use microfiber towels!! It takes 2-3 of them just to dry it when i use it with the water blade, I cant imagine how much I would use when I didnt use it?

How many do you towels do you use when drying your vehicle?

It takes me 3 of Meguiar's waffle weave microfiber Water Magnets to dry my Camry properly.

I like the Meguiars Marine Line Water Magnet. Next ADS order, I might pick up some of the California Drying Towels...has anyone used them before?

Certainly an interesting thread. I have never liked a water blade or the premise of it. I guess I'm just surprized to hear so many people use them, especially considering how much touching it does of the surface. Then again, I like to use the wide body brush to wash my car so to each their own.

As far as towel, I use 2-3 cheap Sam's Club MFs on my Grand Prix and that's after flooding removed most of the water.

I always use 2 Water Magnets to dry my vehicles as well. And that's after doing the nozzle-off-the-hose-sheeting-rinse too.

As long as we're all listing our drying methods, I use a leaf blower to dry the vehicle and all the nooks and crannies, then blot anything left with a waffle weave MF.
