Re: I am looking at buying a 1990 Ford Taurus SHO
Finally I got it started. It took forever to start it. That costco battery does not like to charge up. We jumped it with a Explorer from the same year that also has 300,000 miles on it. My friends dad get a lot of miles out of their cars. It drove nice the steering wheel stayed nice and stright does not shake and it is not spuddering on acceleration. The water temp stayed normal. The clutch is nice but it leaks oil onto the exhaust which then it smells. If it checks out when I put it up on a lift and passes smog I am going to buy it. The timing belt like I said earlier was most likely changed along with the water pump. The brakes were locked up then they finally broke loose after backing it up from its resting place. My brother is complaining it is a Taurus but he wants a beamer for his first car but I told him this is a cool car. I also told him parts for this car are going to be way less in price than any BMW.
