Has anyone else worked late on a car and went to bed right after? I toss and turn for hours! I simply cannot fall asleep because I'm thinking about the car I'm working on all night. I got done last night at 11:00 and laid awake in bed till almost 2:00 before I finally fell asleep!

      Drives me nuts!
If sleeping around 3am and getting to bed is also a pain with all the muscles aching here and there and waking up in the morning at 7am almost everyday..then I think i'm sick enough.

btw, i do get nightmares... burning through plastics & Carbon Fibres with a RB

      But I still love detailing!!!!

Re: How sick is your detailling sickness?

Please,Please, pretty please stop destroying the interior of these cars. Obviously, the way I clean these vehicles is much different than my personal vehicles. It is set up much like an assembly line and time is of the essence. I do cringe every time these vehicles go through the car wash knowing that numerous swirls have been professionally applied to the vehicle.[/quote]

Ya know this is probably the reason I'm not letting this rental get dirty. The rental company is full of young people who don't know how to clean these cars. I always bring a MF with me to clean the windshield. I always return them nice and clean. This one I'm going to have for a good month and I couldn't live with myself if I returned if filthy. Maybe that's why they're always nice to me and give me an upgrade. Oh yea, I would never take a car to the "Profession Scratch & Wash". lol.

        Top that!!

Body mans car is rusty, mechanics car doesn't run right, and we detailers don't have time to wash are own rides, at least those who detail for a living.

I think my sickness is pretty bad...

Oh my gosh, I couldn't possibly agree more with everything there!

I once went 3 months without washing my own car!! I vowed never again, and now manage a weekly quickie wash...but I haven't polished it out in 6 months or more.

Also, if I either finished a job or have one the next day I absolutely can not sleep. I lay in bed for hours considering my plan of attack, if I loaded my supplies, what I could try, etc...it's a disease!

Re: How sick is your detailling sickness?

The day after a major detailing job, I get withdrawal symptoms!
I have to ease the pain through detailing another car,

One of these days, I'll have to get admitted to detailer rehab

Good Boy! Just get him hooked on some MF's and make sure he doesn't end up sniffin' ur UDQ or trying to take a bath in ur NXT wash .

I rented an STS when I went to San Fran a few years back and liked it so much I decided to rent one again. (Wifey just says I like playing "sugar-daddy" - lol).

when i open the back door for him and he climbs in he will get dirt on the door sill and will even stop to wipe it off.

i have to watch him close when i wash the car though, whenever i look away he grabs the water hose and blasts me with it!

Sickness? I'm not sick I can kick this habit anytime I want,I just don't wanna. Well I can relate to cleaning the rental car I have a limo,so when I use a rental its for a week to a month and although I'M not gonna use my wax I will use some QD in a minute, seems like I can feel the car saying ahhh that feels good .Usually they wash cars before u drive off and I'm standing there like please stop your making it worse, its about to really get washed and sprayed.Do they have Rehab for this yet?

Re: How sick is your detailling sickness?

After quitting my job (Sales exuctive) in reputable security systems contracting company and rent a small shop then I bought with all my saved money all Meguiar's products. Some times I feel like happy because I didn't like my job and I'm not education degree guy (I've been in college though and I'm still studying) So I thought I need to try detailing just to fulfill my desire. I learned detailing here from this forum after reading for a year and practicing that's what would make me become one of best detailer comparing to other detailers here in my country. You guys are the best the world.

The point is everybody thinks I'm sick
