I don't think you can go wrong with a Tahoe. How bout the new Ford Flex. Unless you want something sporty then the MDX is a good choice.

I would take the time to check out the Tahoe Hybrid. It will get a little better mileage then the regulat Tahoe and it will give you ample room. Just my 0.02.

I actually saw one of those GMC Acadia's today on the way to work. Real classy looking vehicle and plenty big. If not that I just looked at detailing a Nissan Armada.(customer hasn't gotten back to me) Those things are huge!

Congrats on the decision to expand your family.

Does this mean that Meguiar's didn't come thru on your last chance offer?
Negatoriative on the job. I guess there is something about an attorney, sitting at home with a bad back, high on Oxycodone that they just don't like! The nerve.

Have looked at the Buick Enclave? I am not sure of the size but it appears to be about the size of some of the other vehicles you have looked at. I have had Buicks for the last 10 years & have had no problems with any of them. The '07 Lucerne I have now is probably one of the best riding & quietest cars I have ever driven. Just a thought.
According the JD Power, Buick makes about the most reliable cars right now but I showed it to my wife and she wasn't too crazy about it (we can get a family discount on it, since her mother works for GM), but she wasn't too fond of it.

It measures up pretty good as well. I think this is one we'll have to mark as "see it in person" before we can decide. Do I owe you a commission if we get it?

If you refuse to test it, then the Pilot/MDX/Highlander are very good options.
Mrs. Fitty is the one against the minivan thing... and trust me, you don't want to test Mrs. Fitty. I want to keep that last remaining piece of male anatomy in tact, so I cannot pursue the minivan talk. BTW, if I did, the Oddessy would be first on my list.

Tahoe is definitely in the running. Ford Flex = hearse (to wifey) and the MDX is still an option.

Armada is definitely a monster. Checked the specs and it will certainly cut the mustard for size, but I'd probably rather go for the Tahoe in that case, on account of looks (personal preference) and a bit better mileage. The Armada is a GUZZLER... BIG TIME!!!

Guys... I really have to thank you all for contributing. I've got at least 3 new vehicles I'm going to look at on account of your suggestions.

I'll let you know what we decide on! Thanks.

If someone sees something new that they think fits the bill and hasn't been mentioned, please feel free to let me know.

Any type of contribution, financial or in the form of Meguiar's products(151 or M83 prefered) would be appreciated but not required. My son has an Armada and he really likes it. He has 3 boys ages 6, 4-1/2, & 3. Him, the daughter-in-law, the wife, myself & the three boys went all over Houston this summer and was not crowded at all. He gets about 15MPG in town 18-20 on the highway, but he runs E-85.

not sure if it's been suggested, but the new ford flex is great. the exterior looks are unique, and the interior is incredibly comfortable! especially the front seat. Even with the front seat all the way back, I (6'5") can sit in the second row, and the third row is reasonable

It seems like the wive's have a huge impact on your decision Thats how we got our Yukon, the wife loved it.

The Tahoe's and Yukon's are great rides.

We have 130,000+ on the odometer (non E85) and have only replaced a child inflicted broken back passenger regulator, check valve for 2nd air injection system and lots of tender loving care. I maintain everything.

The only problem I have at the moment is an expensive grille that a phesant went through and just not on top of the priority list yet and it doesn't look too bad. I may have a slight short in a right rear brake light but not sure yet, haven't diagnosed it yet. Seem to lose my right rear brake light, all other lights work and it's intermitten at the moment.

Let us know what you get.

My mom has a 01 Yukon and she loves that SUV. Chevys trucks drive like cars that is why she likes her Yukon. we got 81 thousand miles on ours.

Look at GM's Lambda based suv's

They seem to be great cars. I would also recommend Autoblog.com for reviews

ALSO, look at the Mazda CX-9.
It has great reviews, and looks amazing.
I cant get over the interior!

                                Add this to your list:
                                Magnum R/T
                                Around 30K

                                25-27 mgp highway
Lots of room in the back.
If you want spg, go with the SRT8.
