Re: How fuel prices affect your life?
Wont affect me at all. I work hard to play hard and if that means paying more for gas then so be it! Right now its costing me about $70 a week to keep premium in my 350z but its worth it to me.Detailing Enthusiast

I bought a Mazdaspeed3, which is great fun to drive, and gets 28 mpg's when I take it on highway trips at 65-70 mph.2021 BMW X3M Competition - Donington Gray

Re: How fuel prices affect your life?
it ***** a lot for my friends and i. we are all college kids, who as everybody knows, struggle to make ends meet anyway.
between working 6 days a week at my car wash job, detailing on the side, and any other money i make, my CHEVROLET CAVALIER takes 55 dollars to fill. (i use midgrade shell gas only). so its tough. rent= 350 a month, gas= 165 dollars a month (3 tanks usually, i drive a lot) food and stuff probably 200-250/ month thats 715-775 $ a month. before car insurance which my parents have graciously picked up on my behalf, and my loan payment of 110 bucks a month. im broke. fact is something needs to happen. it wouldnt be bad if i could cross 600 dollars a week, but im right around 500. so loan for school is going to be obvious. its hard. i remember when i could fill the tank for 25 dollars (1.98/ gallon) and be golden. food was cheaper and everything was much easier. i hope something happens quick, or we will drop out of being such a rich and wealthy nation. more and more people are moving into apartments and houses are being repoed and destroyed.

Re: How fuel prices affect your life?
I drive a crew cab , long bed, 4x4, diesel truck. It gets around 20mpg on the highway if I drive it under 70, but in town it's more like 14. I work about 50 miles away. Diesel is just over $5 per gallon now and my tank is 39 gallons.I have been a hardcore "domestic only" guy all my life, but I just bought a 94 Toyota pickup 4cyl-5spd. Needed a timing chain and a couple of intake valves. Got it for $800. Can't wait till I can fill that for $40 instead of the diesel for $200.

I don't drive the Aura as much now that gas was 4.22 earlier this week. It sits in the driveway for the most part and I use my old SL2 to get around.
Sigh, I remember when I could fill that car from almost empty for $15. Now its like $40-45.

My uncle had an early 80's Toyota truck with over 300,000 miles. It still ran like a champ but being a MN truck the frame folded in half from rust.

Re: How fuel prices affect your life?
Gas prices is nothing more than legalized robbery and the government does nothing because the oil CEO's line their pockets with $$$$..
Myself, I spend to much on gas since adding (Grounds Maintenance) mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc. On top of that my 96 F-150 gets about 13 MPG.
Also have a 91 Ranger using more now since gas hit record highs.
Gas will never go down now that government now knows (we the people) will pay it we dug ourselves in a ...Joe's detailing (Since 2002)''We begin where the car wash Ends.''
