Over the weekend I discovered a small cut in the dash of my daughter’s car. I’m certain it was courtesy of the knucklehead that did the state inspection last week. He must have poked the dash with his handy razor blade scraper that’s used to remove the old sticker. I don’t think I would get very far going back there and trying to convince them they did it and especially getting them to do anything about it.
So my question is this.... Should I try to fix it or just leave it be? On one hand... if I leave it alone over time it could continue to crack and really deteriorate around the cut. On the other hand... trying to repair it could make it look even worse than the cut itself.
I’m guessing the dash is a slightly padded vinyl of some kind? Anyone know? The car is a 98 Toyota Camry. I was thinking about one of those vinyl repair kits but I’ve never used one or know anybody that has.
Opinions? Experience? Fixes?
BTW, The cut is about a 1/4 of an inch in length. I couldn't get pics to upload.
Once again, it just goes to show ya........ you can't take your stuff anywhere.................
I know your with me Jeepster04!!
