I get about 29-31 average in my Miata. 13-17 in the Vette depending, sometimes a lot worse.
Really happy to not be using the Vette as a daily driver anymore.

I also track my gas consumption and maintenance cost in a spreadsheet. Considering I drive an AWD SUV I consider the mileage I am getting to be pretty decent. I drive 40/60 city/freeway and am fortunate to live where I can buy real gasoline (no ethanol).

You can see clearly where I take long cross-country road trips.

              interesting indeed.
my 02 GTP was stickered at 18/28. depending on how i drive i get 13-20 in town and 22-28 on the road.
over the winter i was tire shopping. i knew i was staying stock size as i needed to stay with an all season tire and have no intentions of changing the wheels on my 40th. in looking at tirerack.com and various grand prix forums i was getting alot of mixed info on tires. i never expereinced what i read though. i was supposed to gain mpg by going from the BFG Traction T/A's i had to the Bridgestone Potenza G009's. i stayed close enough to say it is my driving, quality of gas or weather that is causing the differences in mpg.

right now i am planning transmission work as i do not have OD. so when i am at 60mph the revs are at 2400. when i am at 70 it is 3000. so i am debating what i want to do. this is a driver and i like to go to the drag strip with it. GTP trans have 2.93 gears. the GT trans has 3.29 gears. to get a better launch at the track and feel better from a stop it is common to swap the GT trans in to GTP's and then take the Heavy Duty parts from the GTP trans and put into the GT trans. while at it give the trans a rebuild and mayb a new convertor and all is good.
some say the MPG drops and some say it stays the same. we will see. mainly i want OD back so the revs can drop and the MPG go up when cruising down the road. i have seen guys get 30 out of the GTP's. and there are even those with the power tuners that have managed 35 out of them with some tweaking. pretty good.
