    OH NO Your Car Crazy!

I often admire the car for some time after cleaning it up. Then walk by the windows in the house and check it out too LOL. Remember to check out your spouse/girlfriend etc once in a while too They appreciate it.

I had a neighbor ask me if I was going to scrub the paint off, then he said, well your cars look good.

I had one kid who was parked next to us admire our Orange Neon and he was holding his door to prevent hitting the car. He told me nice car. I said, remember Meguiars when you get older and he smiled.

being a newbie i admired the work i did as a beginner. I read, i learned, i detailed. It made that baby shine and i always stare at it because i know i did a good job, even other people tell me how nice the car looks.

It just started pouring rain yesterday and that girl is still shinning

I agree, I find myself doing this too. Who doesn't like to get compliments whether it be about your car or anything else you do in life. It just makes you feel good when others notice, because as detailers we know it's clean, but love hearing it from others.

Same here...especially when I park it at school or a store. Sometimes its kind of awkward and people glance back at it when I do. I've gotten a few comments on it at school, but most of them come from the other car nuts at the school.

I'm guilty as well. I've always wanted a house where I could park in the living room and admire. I always look back when I park at a store. I watch to see who else looks back at their cars, you can tell the car people that way.

I'm guilty of it too. I park it in the driveway in the spot closest to the front door so whenever I pass by I get a glimpse of how marvelous it looks. I too sit out and just make it look like Im adding some details but just really fishing for comments ahaha.

    Hey tillmanator,

You are not alone! Yes, I have to admit, I also do the same thing. I park my car in the rear of my house just underneath the kitchen window. As I go through my day after I clean my car, I find myself going to the window and looking at the car to admire the shine. Even when I go back out somewhere I will do a walk around to check everything out again.

How long do you marvel after a detail?

    Hi Folks,

I just spent a couple of hours washing, detailing, waxing etc my pony. Afterwards I kept rubbing it lightly with a clean microfiber marveling at its beauty and the work I did. I know that's crazy and weird. I was enjoying it as folks walked by and made positive comments about my car and stuff. (I live in a condo and park in its garage so there was a decent stream of folks coming and going.)

I must have stayed an extra 15-20 minutes to appreciate the car and get comments from others. Am I the only one who does this? And if anyone else does it, how long do you stay and admire?
