Re: The $2500.00 Brand New Car

the smart works in the uk, Say a big petrol jeep here costs £30-60k, its probably £500 to insure a year plus £400 per year in tax, add that to fuel consumption linked to extorinate petrol costs (there are some cracking deals going on at the min). To say the least the is alot of down grading to smaller more economical cars going on.

the Smart is good, the Tata is a mobile wheel barrow

Visibility would be my biggest concern. Imagine getting trapped under a Hummer and being driven 100 miles out of your way?

        I'd get one

Slap some Lambo Doors on it!

No, honestly I would rather have a Smart car or Mini Cooper. India made cars are probably terrible

But any of these new small cars would get crushed like a pop can by a large SUV, Truck, or even Semi

So is money, or health more important? :]
You guys are just not paying attention nor do you have any sense of adventure.......

This thing has a state-of-the-art insta-foam safety system.... you know like in Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, Sandra Bullock.

Just think, you and a group of friends get together with some of these cars in a big empty parking lot and see who last the longest without getting your insta-foam safety system deployed. Now, that's better than paint-ball, isn't it?? The games we can play here are endless......

These cars just might seve as an upgrade to wally's shopping carts. No more draggin wheels. Make the shopping lanes into alternating one-way streets, give them GPS units to find stuff there, and let the greeters use radar guns to ticket the speeders!

None of which would be any fun to drive; though, the focus would be an okay grocery getter.

I would really be hating life driving one of those.
The first time I saw this car I thought "I hope I am dead before we are reduced to this".

I also made the big mistake of getting a Focus the first year they came out- what a complete fudging drag I took it back after 2 years and told them I could not take it any more-I leased a new windstar and felt like I one the lottery while laying on a bed of roses.
