Here are a few pictures of the rare cars I saw Saturday morning that normally don't show up.











I see F40's occasionally, but I have yet to see this particular one. It was perfect.





Now on to the good stuff. My dad has known Kye for a long time, and I have known him for awhile. Kye owns a very high end body shop, working on Ferrari, Lotus, Bentley, Range Rover, Callaway, and the like. He newest toy is this Ford GT. Thing looks stock from the outside, the only clue that isn't stock is the huge after market Brembo brakes. If you walk up to the car and look in the rear you'll see a beautiful looking Whipple. Yup, this thing is Whipple charged and makes about 750 HP. Has upgraded suspension, huge CV joints, long tube headers, along with other things. I guess people at Roush worked on this car. I forget who Kye said signed the car. Thing is pretty insane. Out of the 500+ cars there this morning, Kye's GT was top 3 loudest. I guess Kye plans on painting the rims satin black, and painting the black Brembo calipers red to match the car and have the Brembo logo engraved into the calipers. Should look good.

Are you going to the Batmobile and Joker day on the 5th? My parents and I are staying up in Irvine the Friday and Saturday (4th and 5th) so I would already be there...maybe we could go to that one then head over to Meguiar's? I know my dad wants to go as well...

C&C happens every Saturday, rain or shine at the Ford/Mazda complex just off the 5 fwy at Alton Parkway in Irvine.

You’ll have to wake up early to get here from San Diego, official start time is 07:00 AM (the guys who want their pick of parking spaces usually show up around 06:30). It goes to roughly 09:00 AM.

On a nice warm summer’s day the display lot fills up completely within a few minutes after 07:00.

On one or two weekends here or there Ford or Mazda has special events that preempt C&C but that doesn’t happen often and they usually just move it across the street or something.

It’s basically a “show up and hang out” sort of thing. No entry forms, no judging, no trophies no categories, just drive in and see what else shows up. What shows up can be anything from brass-era Benz to the latest exotic super sportscar to muscle cars, hot rods, VW vans, 4x4’s or who-knows-what.
