    so what ??????
    Get a new car.
Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

well i gust got this car a few months ago, and the reason i didnt have any problems was because i had an improper seating posture, even if i were to get a new car, what would it be? I would go for a Z4 but i think i might have the same problem, i dont like big cars, i like sports coupes. I wanted to know if there where other options besides getting a new ride.

Your current seating position is incorrect. I'm 6'3" and I've fit in EVERY BMW I've ever driven, from 2002s to the latest 7 Series, including all the 3 series made.

BMWs are known for having lots of room for tall (and big) drivers.

Buy a book like "Bondurant on High Performance Driving" to get an idea of where to position your seat and steering wheel.

(Did you post a survey to figure out what posture to use?)

I'd recommend surgery. Get you legs shortened (and your arms to balance things out). Have a couple of vertebrae taken out of your neck. That way you should easily get a couple more inches of head room. Of course, the easiest thing to do would be buy a new car.

You could always keep your car, have your seat mounted further back for more leg room, and have a sunroof installed directly over your head. Keep it open for more head room and close it (and deal with it) when it rains. Let us know what you end up doing. Personally, I like my idea best!!!
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Please post a picture of you sitting behind the wheel of your BMW! Have a friend take it with your diver's door open so we can see how your feet, legs, butt, torso, arms, hands and head are positioned.

                I can hardly wait!

My guess is that you have adjusted your seating position to resemble Jimmie Johnson's in the Lowe's 48 car.

If you're gonna buy a new car, go for the new Mustang. My 6'5 husband fits in it great with no problems. And it's the best looking car out there on the road today. (I'm sure a few will disagree with me on this one...lol)

Now, i can fit, but like i said, i have less then an inch. I researched seating positions awhile ago, thats when the problem came, before i was laid back and far from the wheel, i did not have good control of my car in that position, when i swithced i had great car control, but like i said, its getting kinda cramped, i will try to post some pics.

Re: trouble fitting in my car!!!!!!!!!

My dad just bought a new Sonata and he was surprised to find that it was listed as a large sedan rather than an midsize sedan. He figured out that the rating must be on volume of the interior as it is a couple of inches taller than my Kia Optima, which is a comparable model made by the same company. You may consider a Sonata a step down from a BMW, but this Sonata is the 3rd one in my family including the 2 my brother and his wife have and we love them. Very comfortable and reliable. I am 6'2", my dad is 6'1 and my brother is 6'5". And we are not opposed to BMWs either, as my niece who is tall for a girl has a 325i.

By the way, what's the difference between 1" of head room and six feet of head room????
