Much like Sarge, I got into working on cars as a stress relief from the job.

        Re: What's your profession?

Wow. Things have changed since a year ago when I posted in this thread last time. I graduated in March of last year, and now I am the full time manager of Anytime Fitness in Yulee. It can be quite stressful at times (you'd be surprised how much there is to do to keep a gym running smoothly!), but I really enjoy it. The owner and his wife are great people to work for. I also do a very little bit of part time Auto CAD work (this is a slow time for it), some cleaning, and some detailing. Detailing is all referrals...I don't even have business cards yet.

          Re: What's your profession?

This is a great thread, I'm really happy at the turn out of people posting. It's so interesting to read what we all do for such a big part of our day.

I'm still stuck at the same place doing the same thing. My plans of doing project management didn't work out. The owner hired his brother. Oh well, can't beat out family I guess. I sent a resume to a forensic engineering firm in town, but haven't heard back. They offered me a job a few years ago but I wasn't looking back then. My AutoCAD has been slow too, part being winter and part being the economy I think. There is a Wisconsin code change coming March 1st so that is helping out a little, everyone wanting to get plans done before the new code takes effect.

Groovy...I had some good Judges in my time as a Bailiff. My tolerance level was below theirs for rude people and by the time they wanted to snap, I was already there and the litigants were out the door

I'm a high school senior and I detail the family cars. Hopefully I can start f/t detailing when I graduate if I have the proper tools like a DA.
