Last time I was on Hollywood Way, this guy parked his 737 in the Chevron station. Well, the nose was close to the pumps. The rest of the aircraft was blocking Hollywood Way!

I went 73 to 405 to 605 to 5

59 min in the AM left 5:45 got there 6:44

58 min home left 9:45 got home 10:43 AM

$14.75 in gas and I passed the test~!

I wasn't Joking. I was a 3 blocks away when it happened. Here are some of my own digital photos taken from 2 blocks away. Long exposures with the camera resting against a telephone pole! Hey, I've got 2 hours of night IFR dual with a Flight Safety Boeing CFI in a Category C 737 simulator (N227). Eight landings and takeoffs and I kept in on the runway and didn't blow any tires!







Could have been worse. Did you ever hear of the aborted 747 Cargo landing at the now defunct Hughes Airport? It was on the same heading as LAX, but a few miles north. The runway was shorter thanm LAX and farther east. The 747 pilot was on the right heading and glideslope, but over Hughes.

He came real close to landing half way down the Hughs runway and rolling out across Lincoln Blvd.
