I'm not Joe and not to speak for him or anything but if I remember right he buys his DI water. Being that he's a professional mobile detailer, he has water tanks to store it in.

Hey I got bored and got my TDS meter in today so I decided to try it out

I use a DI service. They bring large filtering tanks to my house and I run my tap water through it to purify it.
The filters are good for about 2 months before I have to switch them for fresh ones.
Minerals in drinking water are a good thing. They are what give water taste.
0 TDS water tastes horrible!!!!!

Side track a little....
I've read somewhere (W.H.O article or something) that drinking DI water is not actually a good thing to do, as it will strip the vitamins and minerals in our body system when taken in large (> 2 liters) amounts in short time.
Not sure about scietific evidence, but i guess the bottled water called "Mineral Water", is not demineralised because of this...
Let's just stick to using it to wash our cars, ya?
