I am not 100% clear where the generations start, 1st it 67-69 2nd is 70 thru ? and 3rd?
But I love muscle cars, I had a 69 camaro and a 69 roadrunner there are a lot of others I have had but those are the best "Muscle" cars I have had.
I currently have a 67 chevelle/Malibu that is getting a custom restoration comlete frame off. Shold be home from the painter SOON !If you dont play you CANT win!

But aren't there FOUR generations?
67-70
71-81
81-92
93-02
I'd vote maybe for Gen 4, they were pretty awesome cars, too.

For me, the 1st gens like the 427 Yenkos, the 302 small block RS/SS/Z28 were simple awesome. 100% badass. BUT...the 3rd gens with their LS1 small blocks and handling.... excuse me, I'm drooling all over my keyboard...Don

LOL, now I'd like to change my vote!
Not really, but I can like the 1st gen for its historic value, and the 4th gen because they are the best cars, right?

I like all the F bodies. I vote for the 4th generation due to the LS1 V8 and it's performance. Stock for stock the 4 Gens. are the best performing ones.
Of course I'm biased because I'm the proud owner of a 2001 Black Trans Am WS6.
Pontiac Enthusiast magazine tested one of the last TAs produced in 2002, a Collector's Edition with a 4 speed automatic. It ran the quarter mile in 13.1 seconds at 104 MPH. Not bad for factory stock.
Of course J Solo's and 1 Clean WS6's TAs are considerably faster than that.

The Cobra is a great car too, especially the '03! It will be interesting to see what the next generation Cobra will be like, does it come in '05 or '06? The '05 GT will be a BIG hit, with 300 HP for only $25K.
There are also the muscle trucks. I read a test report on the '04 Lightning in Machine Design magazine. This is getting confusing. They tested an '03 said the '04 would be similar to the '03 and had a picture of the "05. I read elsewhere that there is no '04 with the new Lightning making its debut in '05 with 500 HP.
