    Here's my first attempt

It's a lot more difficult than it looks. I think it's best to choose xmas lights that don't go on and off. It messes up long exposure shots!

My roof is mostly glass so the bonnet is the only large surface I can use, and since it slopes and curves, it's hard to do a split mirror type of shot. Maybe I will need to use a new subject.

You are right Richard. I soon realized that when I snapped a few pictures. Quality of the picture is not as great since I only have a cheap 3 year old canon camera and worst, I can't take decent pictures. I snaped these photos in front of my house. The lights are not as elaborate as the other neighbors, but at least is something.
      Enjoy!.

If you look close, the reflection of the lights that appears like a boomerang shape, it is the rotary "crest" on the hood.

I'm pretty easy, we can run the contest longer, say until January 2nd, that way if anyone gets a new digital camera for Christmas they'll have a reason to use it plus some folks might be traveling and need a little more time to get their shots.

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be... took several tries, don't have a tripod so it was a little difficult to get clear shots.

              Here are my shots.

I live close to Christmas Town USA.....So I have a great backdrop, but no digital camera yet.

I'll just have to wait until next year.

Yes, let's make it till Jan. 2nd.
I have to find a backdrop to take a pic of.

Any word on if it is a "go" on extending the contest through Jan. 2nd?

Yes, you can enter the contest, but if you win, the prize will be drawn from what's already available through your distributor in Norway as I'm not going to be allowed to start shipping prizes Internationally.

                            Hope that's okay?

Not exactly lights, but a Christmas themed reflection nontheless...

My framing shot isn't the greatest, because I just read about this and Frosty's already in the attic .

This is the result of my first machine detailing attempt. Washed with Gold Class soap, then clayed, then polished with a DA buffer using #80 and yellow foam pad. Finished with NXT Tech Wax.
