  • My web site is all done, I hope!

I put the finishing touches on my web site this weekend.

Let me know what you think (please find he link to it in my profile)

I know the link from the red airplane is dead.

If you were looking for a detailer does my site answer questions you would have?

    Thank you.

    Looks great!
    Loads fast!
    All links work!
    Easy to navigate!

Good job Joe. One suggestion, on this page loose the cartoon character and add two photos of you.

    1) Photo of you wearing either a suit or casual business attire, ( you want to look professional and serious/business-like, perhaps behind a desk working on a computer or writing up a work order on a clipboard, etc.

    2) Photo of you working on something very cool

    Just a suggestion.

Looks great! I like that you have all the different vehicles. Some may not realize the can get their airplane detailed or other unusual large vehicles.

I agree with Mike about the photos; the cartoon isn't very professional looking, as compared to the rest of your site's image.

Also, the written content nazzi in me found a few "tweaks" I would apply:

Soon thereafter I started my own business, “Fernandez Detailing". I specialized in providing detailing services to small auto body and restoration shops that didn’t have a dedicated auto detailer.
When dealing with quotation marks, your punctuation ALWAYS goes INSIDE the quotes, not outside. So where it says (Detailing".), it should be (Detailing.") Unless you're in a programming language that specifies otherwise, there are no exceptions to this rule.

          ph-balanced
pH -- the H should be capitalized

....to remove all traces of dirt and grime from all areas including the washing of the door jams, and wheel-wells.
To me, this sentence doesn't "flow" properly. I would try something like "to remove all traces of dirt and grime from all areas, including door jams and wheel-wells." You already established that you're talking about the washing step, so there's no need to repeat it.

Extra care is taken not to scratch the vehicles finish. The wheels are cleaned and the tires dressed leaving them looking like new. The interior gets a very through dusting and vacuuming. The windows are cleaned absolutely streak free. The result of our attention to detail combined with the use of high quality products is a vehicle that looks bright and spotless.
Again, just a couple picky things:

"Extra care is taken not to scratch the vehicle's finish. The wheels and tires are cleaned and dressed, leaving them looking like new. The interior gets a very thorough dusting and vacuuming, and the windows are cleaned absolutely streak-free. The result of our attention to detail, combined with the use of high quality products, is a vehicle that looks bright and spotless."

This specialized detailing service will condition and prepare your vehicle to hold up to the worst of the damaging effects of daily use.
I am not so sure I like the term "hold up to" in this context. Personally, I'd go for "This specialized detailing service will condition and prepare your vehicle to stand up to the environmental abuse your vehicle is subjected to through daily use."

After we perform our meticulous full service hand wash, we pre-clean the vehicles finish of light bonded surface contaminants such as dirt, bugs, fallout and scuffmarks.
Again, just some minor tweaks: "...we pre-clean the vehicle's finish of light bondad surface contaminants, such as dirt, bugs, fallout, and scuffmarks."

          applied to the vehicles finish
          Again.... remember the posessive: "vehicle's"

The dash and door panels and seats are wiped down and the appropriate protection is then applied to prevent cracking and fading.
Just a few punctuation things: "The dash, door panels, and seats are wiped down, and the approprate protection is then applied to prevent cracking and fading.

all of its surfaces protected and maintained in like new near perfect condition.
"all of its surfaces protected and maintained in like-new, near perfect condition."

          well protected like new appearance.
          "well protected, like-new appearance."

...and seats being spot cleaned to thoroughly shampooing with a powerful hot water extractor that not only melts away stains and eliminates odors but extracts (rinses) the dirt away.
"...and seats being spot cleaned, to throughly shampooing with a powerful hot water extractor that not only melts away stans and eliminates odors, but extracts (rinses) the dirt away."

All plastic and vinyl is thoroughly cleaned then appropriately dressed to prevent cracking and fading. The dash is cleaned paying special attention to clean out all of the recessed areas of dust and grime. The result is a spotless fresh interior that looks and smells new.
"All plastic and vinyl is thoroughly cleaned, then appropriately dressed to prevent cracking and fading. The dash is cleaned, paying special attention to cleaning out all of the recessed areas of dust and grime. The result is a spotless, fresh interior that looks and smells new.

This service restores a neglected and / or damaged paint finish to a smooth durable brilliant gloss. This service is where we built our reputation and got our name from.
"This service ... to a smooth, durable, and brilliant gloss. This is the service our name and reputation is built on."

Above surface contaminants such as environmental fallout, tree sap, and bonded dirt is safely removed.
"Above-surface contaminants such as environmental fallout, tree sap, and bonded dirt are safely removed." -- ('are' modifies "contaminants" -- so being plural, the modifier must also be plural). Below-surface in the following sentence should also be hyphenated, for purpose of clarity.

Once the paint is “deep cleaned”, we condition the paint with a polish that will restore a deep dramatic brilliant shine.
"Once the paint is "deep cleaned," we condition the paint with a polish that will restore a deep, dramatic, brilliant shine."

Only after the paint looks perfect, we then apply a long lasting protective coating to preserve the paint. This is a very specialized service and usually requires "buffing" and in some extreme cases may also include "color sanding". The result is a finish that looks absolutely exceptional and one that is well protected from the sun and other damaging effects of daily use.
Due to the way the first sentence is worded, I'd try it this way: "After the paint looks perfect, we apply a long lasting protective coating to preserve the paint. This is a very specialized service, and usually requires "buffing" and in some extreme cases may also include "color sanding.
          "
The result is a finish that looks absolutely exceptional, and one that is well protected from daily environmental abuse."

Rates for reconditioning a vehicle are determined by the size and condition of the vehicle and for the amount of the work required. We grade the difficulty of the interior and exterior separately into three levels of work, light, medium and heavy.
"Rates for reconditioning a vehicle are determined by the size and condition of the vehicle, and by the amount of work required. We grade the difficulty of the interior and exterior separately into three levels of work: light, medium, and heavy."

Sorry for such a long/picky post, but as much as I have an "eye for detail" when it comes to cars, I'm just as bad about writing and grammar. In my "other life" I'm a writing and editing consultant.

Now, I didn't do much with the "about us," "main," or "our work" pages, though I can certainly take the time to pick it apart if you'd like.

This just happens to be one of my pet peeves, that's all. I wasn't trying to offend you or anything, because overall the content is very good.... it's just that I tend to think that grammatical perfection (especally in the context of an "eye for detail" on the site of a "detailer") presents an even more professional image. Those of us out there who pay attention to the little stuff like that are more inclined to trust someone who takes pride in ALL aspects of their business, even stuff like this (which I know you do take pride in your business/craft/art).

It's a nice website. The front page has a bit of horizontal scrolling, even at 1024x768. You should probably try to get it so that you can run as low as 800x600 without scroll. Otherwise I think it's nice, design-wise.

The only thing I want to do now is to animate my logo and replace the heading I know have on my site.

Does anybody here know how to do that or can point me in the right direction to getting it done?

You want it animated.... how? I'm not sure what part you want moving; it could be a simple job, or it could be more involved. It all depends what you're envisioning, more specifically.

Hey, Joe, I like the site a lot! The 1941 really stirred my interest, since I collect and deal in antiques.

Your Eldorado Touring Coupe would look good in that site-don't be shy!
