      bump again

need to know, i'm installing a clear bra on my car, the instructions list the need to remove waxes from the finish first.

alcohol/water okay? or where can i buy that cleaner stuff?

or did you find another method for removing nxt?

A couple applications of DCS1 or ScratchX should do it. But I'd wash it afterwards. Are you doing the clear bra yourself? You have guts. Is it the 3M product or another?

            Hi popiah,

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, (DCS1), is a very gentle, chemical only paint cleaner, if applied thoroughly, and worked into the finish, it should remove much of the NXT.

              Hi irv_usc,

Somehow missed this one, when installing a clear bra, what you want is a clean, smooth surface, and one would think, a protected surface. The best way to clean paint is to use a product specifically formulated for cleaning the paint, I would recommend using ScratchX with a foam applicator pad. You might first check with your clean hand after washing the car if their are above surface bonded contaminants and if there are, remove them first with a clay bar and a spray lubricant. Then use the ScratchX.
