    nice!

question on foam gun use, do you spray the car down with the foam then hose it off or do you foam the car and wash with your favorite mitt then rinse?

OK, in every wash, these are my procedures:

      1) Prepare your TWO-BUCKET METHOD properly
      2) Rinse-off entire car with firehose nozzle
      3) Use THIS foam gun (dilute as needed) with car soap
      4) Let the foam and suds dwell on the car's paint for about five (5) minutes (make sure your car is in a shade or no sun)
      5) Rinse-off entire car with firehose nozzle (again)
      6) Use TWO-BUCKET METHOD with two wash pads (one for the top, and one for the bottom)
      7) Rinse-off the entire car well
      8) FLOOD the car's paint with water, to reduce drying time
      9) Use drying towels (I use three Water Magnets) to remove remaining water.

The main reason I use my foam gun is to soften or loosen the dirt and grime from the paint. This further reduces the chance of scratching the paint's surface. To me foaming the car, then rinsing it off with water is not enough. The TWO-BUCKET METHOD is a must after the foaming stage.

Good question. I honestly do not know, however, I will try to get hold of the manufacturer about this.

Well, nothing critical, but I do try to stay at 128:1 at least like recomended, between the gun, and diluting with water in the bottle.

What about using the soap at full strength and then ajdusting the ratio (at least with the Gilmour gun you can) at 1oz per gallon. That would be perfect then.

Yeah, you can get to 128:1 (or whatever you chose) different ways.

But the gun may be 15:1 only, so have to do the rest with your pre-mixing.

I like to put some water in the jug to thin the soap some, make sure it is flowing well. But I think some people just use the soap.

The local Tractor Supply place here did not carry it.

                    And here's one of mine!

This works with any pressure washer up to 4000psi.

I think I paid $18.00 or so at Home Depot.....

                      I have this too, look:

Pressure washer and this G-Foamer is a great combo, on producing nice foam. However, I just do not like using extra pressure of water on my paint, unless necessary. Also, the extra hustle I have to do when taking it out and unwrapping it.

I emailed the manufacturer of this foam gun, and they said that the tips you put on the siphon tube determines the output ratio of the gun. It's:

                        128:1
                        64:1
                        42:1

NOTE: this foam gun, unlike the Gilmour's, the ratio is not adjustable on the spot. You have to either change the tips (comes in the kit) or change your dilution ratio of the soap.

I really don't change mine much... Just soap, or flipped over for water for me.

One of those tips should work out nicely, if you didn't want to use straight soap.

I tried all there of these tips, and none of them seems to work well. However, when I took out the tips and used it straight on, it's another story.

Hmm, wonder what it is with no tip then... not really sure how you would check it, other than just asking them.

Certainly looks in the ballpark of what I get as far as soapy/wateriness, maybe a little more soapy, but I use #62 as well.

I just emailed them back, and using it with NO tip at all is 1:12 ratio. So, that's about 10.67oz of car wash solution to one (1) gallon of water.
