I had been a Zaino user since 1998, and really liked the results I got from it, however I also didn't bother doing all the crazy steps like they recommended, I simply used their Z2 on it's own, with no mixing of ZFX, no Z1, and I didn't always use their Z8 wash either. I really liked the fact that you could put a coat of Zaino on when it is sunny out, that is one thing I'm gonna miss.

I ended up switching to NXT just recently. It all started thanks to my local detailing shop. Over the wintertime I started going there every week to get my car washed, and in February I decided to let him put a coat of wax on my car. I had always done my own waxing, but in the winter I was never able to do it unless we got a real warm day. He used Meguiar's #26 and I was extremely impressed with the results! It got rid of all the fine scratches in my black 98 Corvette, making the paint look like new again! In the spring I let him put on another coat yet again. But I wanted to continue waxing it myself so I figured NXT was the perfect choice, since I had been hearing good things about it, plus then I could still get my detailer to put a coat of #26 on top of the NXT later on this year once the weather turns colder.

I've only put on one coat of NXT so far, I applied it with a random-orbital buffer, then buffed it by hand with microfibre towels. The whole process took me less than an hour! I plan on putting on one coat every 3-4 weeks now, right up until the weather turns cold in the fall. Then I'll get the detailer to put on a coat of #26 every 2 months.

No question Megs has award winning products, and support.

No question Zaino has award winning products.

Its silly to try to pit one against the other, its all in the prep.

I've never used Zaino, and I never will. Not because of the product itself, but because a lot of people who use it tend to be so full of smug. They arrogantly bash your product in an attempt to have you use theirs. And because of that, I'm sticking with Meguiar's.
