Re: Attracts dust
I can not confirm or deny the science related to the anti-static charges, but this is what I can say. It was very interesting to see the dust settle on the section of the car that had wax on it versus the section that was unprotected.
A couple of months ago I had the same question and consulted the R & D department at Meguiar's. They said it is very difficult to give a black and white answer to this "Anti-Static" question you all have. Reason being is that all different types of dust molecules, being sand, dust, or pollen ect, have different molecular charges (positive or negative). Therefore, it impossible to know what type of molecular charge is landing on your finish. On top of that, it would also be difficult to know what type molecular charge are the panels on your car. Are they all the same? Can they be reversed by weather (I don't know the answer to those questions, but it is something to think about)?
This gets into a very in dept science debate that it way above me, but I wanted to share what R & D talked about.
