reason i asked is because i originally started wth nxt 2.0, then tried to top it with gc, but heard somewhere that gold class contained cleaners, so i went and bought a tin of m26 yellow wax...

so what would you fellow car crazy guys recommend? at the moment my set up is 2 coats of m21 syn sealant, and 2 coats of m26 yellow.... my only gripe is that m26 is a pain in the a** to apply compared to a liquid wax... if i could get the same protection and shine out of gc wax as m26 then it would make it much much easier... if not looks like im gonna have to stick with the m26??
My understanding is that GC does not have any cleaners, so you should be fine. Besides the Megs Cleaner Wax, I don't think there is other wax in Meguiar's arsenal that contains cleaners. Of course there are several paint cleaners, but cleaner waxes I think not.

In a very personal opinion, I think 2 coats of M21 then 2 coats of M26 could be a waste of product, the point of waxes and sealants is to bond with the paint/clear coat. But I don't think it will hurt at all, that's for sure. A good prep is better than applying several coats of sealants and waxes. Then maintain regularly with UQD or similar. And, if weather permits, after you wash your car apply UQW.

    Good luck!

      thanks for your input

the only reason i apply 2 layers of m21 and m26 is to ensure i get even coverage, having a white car makes applying these LSP's a bit more of a optical challenge :P

i totally agree with what your saying, proper prep of the paint is most important, and i think my regime is pretty good for the car, seeing as its under 6 months old, i will still clay/swirlx/polish/seal/wax a few times a year, and i wash the car about 2 times a week, reapply m26 about every 2-3 weeks.

      thanks again fr the input!
