It sounds like some of you don't really understand what the OP is talking about. TW makes something called a Black Box, that includes several items, kind of like Megs boxed kits. It is specifically for black cars - it has nothing to do with the box it comes in. I've seen it on shelves, never tried it. I have used TW products before though, and find them to be a pretty good value. I personally prefer Megs, but they are typically a few dollars more per item. TW is fine, and every TW item has it's place. Think about it, do you really want everyone's cars looking as good as our cars??

Re: Turtle Wax Black Box
When I first heard about the wonders of black box and then visited the site and read all of the great reviews, I was sold on this product. The price was right for what I wanted to see happen to my new car. I had gotten quite a few nasty scratches on my car from the snow blizzard of 2009-2010 and wanted to repair those scrathes. I also wanted to give my car that deep, wet look.
I decided to purchase the product. It was just over 20 bucks. It took me 8 hours to apply to may car. VERY VERY VERY TEDIOUS!!!! It lightly replaced color to the scratches, but doesn't it restore it to brand new. I was completely drained after applying the product and the shine that I received was no different than what I get from using a regular bottle of wax. I went through almost all of the product in one application. I must say that I'm not impressed!
Stick with your regular bottle of wax!

Re: Turtle Wax Black Box
Last time I checked the Black Box was just their standard wax with color additive to make it easily noticeable on white and lighter colored paints. I don't think it removes any scratches/swirls.
Do you have any pics before/after>

Re: Turtle Wax Black Box
Alright, so I have a black Acura Legend GS Coupe. It has some very VERY minor imperfections in some spots, but overall it looks pretty good. Things like SwirlX and the Ultimate Compound don't seem to do anything for it when I use them, so I'm pretty happy with where it's at.
That being said, I did come across Black Box a while back. Now I was pretty antsy to try the stuff because I didn't think that Turtle Wax was a bad set of products and I wasn't too choosy. So I bought it, and then that weekend I tried it out. I'll admit, I like how it turned out. It still looks pretty good, but by now I should wash it and get the dust and all off. But it is still looking pretty sharp.
Granted, I don't know how long it will last. The black tinted pre-cleaner or conditioner or whatever it is called seems to just be a filler, so I'm sure those little imperfections will be back. The carnauba wax will hopefully delay that, and I plan to put some NXT Gen wax on there tomorrow too.
Overall though, I think it is a decent product.

Re: Turtle Wax Black Box
If you watch the advertising video on their website, you can clearly see swirls and damage in the paint after they remove it.

Re: Turtle Wax Black Box
Turtle Wax has never given me the results I wanted in the past, though perhaps their more high end products are of better quality. Until they come up with a "Carmine Red" box, I'll pass.

Re: Turtle Wax Black Box
I bought the black box last weekend and tried it and found on my car #7 followed by #21 was deeper in color and showed very few scratches where the black box seemed to do very little. Now this being said it was on a 2009 Altima that has dealership swirls. I can see were on older paint it would probably work better.
