  • What the heck is up with NXT 2.0???

Seriously Meguiar's, how in the world did you guys manage to pull this off?

To be completely honest I wasn't a huge fan of the original NXT and much preferred M21/M16 on my cars. But this past Saturday I washed my PT Cruiser and put a coat of NXT 2.0 on just to try it out. The car has been sitting in the garage since then and today I went to wipe off the tiny little bit of accumulated dust with some UQD and a fresh, clean microfiber. I had to remind myself that all I did was wash the darn thing and put a very thin coat of NXT 2.0 on it. It feels unbelievably slick to the touch during the final wipe of UQD. I use UQD all the time so I know how it behaves, and I like it a lot. But darned if the car doesn't have that same super slick feel you get after a full wash/clay/polish/wax job. And I haven't done that in exactly 53 weeks - I know because one year ago today I was at a show in Arizona and the week before had detailed this car to within an inch of its life!

NXT 2.0 - this is seriously amazing stuff.

Oh, and before anybody throws up the "This thread is worthless without pics!" image, it's really, really difficult to take a picture of a slick feel.

I have my bottle of NXT 2.0 sitting in the closet waiting for its first use... all I need is a decent weekend for once this winter, I have yet to find the weather good enough for a coat of wax. Can't wait to try it!

it really is the best product i have ever put on my paint.i did a clay,colorx,2.0,a week ago on my 97 blazer, and has been raining the past 2 days.and the beading is just not even right.the beads on the hood are the size of a quarter, and just roll right off.and the application cannot get any easier, effortless.

Id like to reiterate how really good this stuff smells. Its a great wax too, Im impressed with it so far after one application even though I messed it up a little bit.

Few weeks ago, I went ahead over to my friends house and we clayed/waxed his car with NXT 2.0. Later that day, I get a text message that says "I stilled coffee all over myself!". So I called him out to find out he put a cup of Starbucks coffee on the hood of his BMW, but it wasn't on the edge, rather in the center of the hood and it slipped down, the coffee splashed up against the water-ridge on above the door which launched it on his shirt.

                    I couldn't stop laughing!

I agree... this stuff is awesome. I waxed my car a few weeks ago, and aside from the periodic UQD wipedown, my car is still slick and glossy!

Shortly after the first time I clayed/polished/waxed the PT I took a couple of the girls from work to Starbucks and they took orders from several of our co-workers so our hands were full when we got back to the car. One of the girls went to put a single cup on the roof and I told that this wasn't a good idea. She said "oh, I won't scratch your paint" so I told her that wasn't my point - the cup wouldn't stay put. She looked at me funny so I dared her to try it. As soon as she let go it started sliding slowly toward her and she grabbed it. With a shocked look on her face she said "how did you do that!?!?!?"

I give my endorsement to NXT 2.0 . . . my llimited experience may not carry the weight that other veterans on the list have, but I washed, #80 and waxed my wife's van last weekend, she and my daughter took it on a trip and will be back tomorrow. They have driven it through lots of rain and I am anxious to see how the finish responds.

Great job on the NXT 2.0!
