If you already have a G100, will you notice the difference in the G110?

      Is it worth the price?

hehehe...I know what you're going through. I'm waiting to get my gallon of #80 and big container of clay so that I can get the spiderweb scratches out of our '67 Jaguar... I'm probably going to have to wait a week, though, because it's supposed to rain this weekend, which is going to put a damper on me washing the car.

I'm just waiting for the UPS guy to show up at my house with the box so that I can !

Man, I wish I had the time to invest in cleaning up cars like some of you guys do...

            Hey Tim,

I am a little curious about what this puppy can do. I see you have silver paint and have made it almost mirror like. Using on a car with black paint, do you feel it will remove swirls?? I understand it will not remove the scratches from wet sanding. However, the guy I bought my mustang from didn't really understand how to properly wipe down and car in between washed and would do so with just a towel and no detailer for lubricity. As one would expect, it left some swirls that scratch x just hasn't cut.

            Thanks!!!!

Most definitely, it should remove most swirls assuming that the paint is not too hard or the swirls too deep. With the right products and techniques, you will be amazed at what it can do. Now with that said, there are paints that are way too hard and will require a rotary polisher and someone skilled in using it (especially on black paint) to remove the swirls. Believe me, you will love the machine and what it can do!

Check out this link from today's Open Detailing Garage at Meguiar's. Here is the G-110 working on black paint.

see thats the thing i thought the g100 was made in the USA and some of the pc 7242 was made here but some were made in mexico, so it seemed there is a little inconsistentcy, but i didn't want to assume anything

The G110 and the G220 is manufactured to our specs in China. The design was all done here in-house at our Corporate Office.

Off-hand I don't. Maybe Dyna-Brade rotary buffers are made in the U.S.A., I'm just not sure.

I still have the Makita Rotary Buffer I bought in 1988 but I'm not sure where it was manufactured.

Maybe you should start a thread on this topic?

possibly but sadly to many people don't really take the time to check and see where stuff is made, for me it just is a good piece of mind and the more stuff we make here the better the market will be.

One of the biggest reasons i love Meguiar's products is that they are made in the USA by people who get paid what they deserve and things like that.

Hey if you started a thread i know i would be first in line to be all over it! thanks

                              Correct me if Im wrong...

But are US companies manufacturing products overseas (China, etc) for cheaper labor and more profit

and thats why a lot of products are made in China?

wow my g110 just died..hmm goes to show you that making stuff in China will dramatically reduce quality. Hopefully Meguiars sends me a replacement.
