Clay should remove overspray just fine. Even on the windows, or you can try invisible glass and a razor blade. I mention invisible glass not becuacse its the best or anything just the product I have used and know it works

It is the body shop's responsibility.

Having said that, claying would be my first option, for paint or glass.

        Clay by all means.

Here is a tip. I've been claying glass for years. It removes road film better than anything else I've found.

          Hi mopar,

I would let the body shop know about the overspray as a professional courtesy, I would also let them know that you're opting to fix it yourself but if they like they can pay for your supplies.

Then purchase all three of Meguiar's clay bars and a gallon of Last Touch or Final Detail and test each clay following Meguiar's philosophy of

Always use the least aggressive product to get the job done"

I wouldn't take it back for them to fix, chances are too good the person they delegate the job too won't put the care and effort into the job as much as you will.

I would also take some close-up pictures of the overspray if possible and post them here for before and after.

By the way, the 1947 Plymouth Coupe I used for a before and after had white paint overspray over the entire car, including glass, paint and trim. I used Meguiar's Quik Clay System and with a little time and elbow grease removed all of the overspray.

what an inprovement over the old quick clay system the clay bar is bigger and glided so easily over my paint. And it was at a really good cost 19 dollars compared to mothers a 24 dollars. Thanks meguiars!!!!!!! You to Mike.
