BTW to those are say it is like brown water, how did you both store it? Curious as I keep mine in the garage here in AZ, and it's often 110 F in there, if not more after parking my car.

The product has gone thin due to separation of the liquid and polish as best I can assume.

I had my polish stored in a garage in Houston (not climate controlled) and I assumed the heat killed it, but you say yours is fine

Ah I can understand then if it's from the separation.

This is actually my first year storing my products in the garage. I started in February. I don't actually have M80 yet, but my other products seem fine. I wonder how long it takes?

Well none of my other polishes have ever gone bad, so I don't know what the deal is with M80.

Hey whats up! Im in gilbert too!

I store mine outside (no garage room AT ALL). But i have them all in rubber containers...in the shade...and then i have a sheet over them as well. My #80 i JUST got maybe a month ago but it was a used bottle and was really thin even when i purchased it...i'll still use it thou..its not so thin that is splatters as long as i have the pad flat.

All of my other products i just give a good shake every week or so just to make sure they dont seperate too much. The funniest one is my Optibond, its in a clean dispencer bottle...and it seperates fast...it ends up being all clear on the bottom 1/2 and pure white on the top half....a good shake and its fine thou...have used it 2 or 3 times after ive seen it seperate like that and had no problems with it.

Hey buddy! Good to know about some of those products. I think I'll start shaking mine too whenever I wash my car just to prevent them from settling.

I store mine in my garage on a shelf, nothing else fancy. My first garage until last month was not attached to the house, I think it got really hot in there.

I've actually moved to southern Phoenix, and have a garaged attached to my house now, it's about outside temperature in the garage on average, unlike my last one which was hotter than it was outside.

Yea they can get pretty toasty, especially after you pull a car in.

So what part of phx are you in...im in gilbert on the chandler boarder (2 miles from ADS ).

Do you do detailing for fun or do you have a business going?

I just do it for fun, but I'd like to get a business going. I have enough supplies to do it professionally, easily. I live on 51st and Broadway now. Almost Laveen!

I've picked up many orders through ADS, I think well over $500 worth of stuff. I've dedicated myself to getting all my detailing supplies through Rick. Do you run a business here?

Re: My #80 being very very thin

I get most of my orders thru Rick as well. Autogeek did have a very nice sale last week so i had to pick up a few things from them, but everything else had been from Rick.

My sister and i have been doing wash/wax for the past 4 or 5 years. Never really did any hard advertising thou, just kind of a 'take it when it comes' sorta deal. The last couple months thou we've been working harder to get some real business going. We're a lot better at what we do now...have better products and more importantly better techniques than we did when we first started.

Just had business cards made up...i'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on our website. My order from AG should be here today. We're still going to do wash/wax but we're offering a lot of other services as well now (engines/headlights/RV and Boats/ paint correction etc).

My email is WindowsAndWheels@aol.com if you wanted to hit me up there. Might be a little easier than bouncing back to this thread...i think we're bordering hi-jacking it lol.

Re: My #80 being very very thin

I just used my #80 for the first time in a while and it was quite watery as well. I still used it (by hand) after a long time of shaking, and it worked just fine. I store all my products in my house in the basement, so it is always at room temperature. No sun/head/cold to destroy it. My bottle is about 1.5 years old now if I had to guess...

Honestly, I reallly wish swirl X was thinner... My god that stuff is terrible to squeeze out of the bottle. At least make the opening bigger! haha
