  • My #80 being very very thin

    hello all,
i have a problem with my speedglaze, i buy it about 4 months ago, i always keep it cool, sometime if the weather is very hot, i put my speedglaze in refrigerator.
but now my #80 is very very very thin, and everytime i use it, it'll splatter even with lowspeed (i use rotary), can somebody help me how to make my speedglaze thick again?

    thanks for your attention.

I bought mine few years ago (think circa 2007-08) and now it is thin; like watery thin. No matter how long I shook it, still it be watery.

But its still does work. Just tweak your application method. Sorry cant help much Kresna.

oh please, i just buy it about 4 monts ago in gallon size, it's very frustrating if i must throw 1 gallon full of polish, even i just use it about 3-5 times. is there any chance to make #80 thick again?

@TimG : hello bro, why u know my name?

Re: My #80 being very very thin

I just threw out my 32 oz bottle of #80 that I used once because it was like brown water. It was stored exactly the same as my 105, 83 and 82 for the same amount of time.

I was very unhappy with the outcome.

Don't put it in the freezer, that will probably just make matters worse for you.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                      Remove swirls my friends.

I doubt that they'll do anything now that I've already tossed it out.

Hindsight says I should've kept it and tried to get a new bottle. Oh well

Re: My #80 being very very thin

Well since this is a post on #80..first let me say mine is very thin too but i believe i can still use it..maybe just have to spread it out a little more first before kicking on the machine...

My other question is, whats the best situation to use #80 in...like 105 is a compound..205 you use as a follow up....well where would #80 fall into play...under what circumstance? Is it like 205...does it have fillers...what pad is best to use with it?

Any info would be very helpful...and if anyone figures out how to thicken it up that would be nice too

@andrew C : are the polish will separate bro?

@wills : agree with u, we need info to thicken it up.

#80 is DAT, if i spread it too longer, the abrassive particle will diminish to lighter particle right? so i cant do any correction.

Why don't you do like Optimum's new product? If it's really thin, just put it in a spray bottle and spray it on your pads? (Probably not recommended by Meguiar's but I'd try it)

BTW to those are say it is like brown water, how did you both store it? Curious as I keep mine in the garage here in AZ, and it's often 110 F in there, if not more after parking my car.
