  • The Power of Wheel Brightener - PICS!

So I was changing my brake pads/flushing the brake fluid/ rotating my tires the other day and I never tend to wash out the insides of my wheels because you really can't see them that well from the outside because of my wheel design. Well these wheels have about 20,000 miles of brake dust on them and it was pretty nasty.

I went to work with a soft bristled brush and Wheel Brightener 4:1. It took a few applications and scrubbings to get this all off, but it was primarily just because there was such a thick layer of gunk caked on. I didn't take any pictures of the wheel dry because I was on a schedule and cleaning the wheel wasn't really on the top of my list at the time (I needed to finish my brakes!)

    Enjoy

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          Wow, looks much better Andrew.

And I agree, Wheel Brightener makes for some pretty powerful before and after shots.

I was just so amazed at what the inside of my wheels looked like, I forgot they were even shiny haha. The last time I saw them like that was when I put the lift kit/tires on my truck and I was a little pre-occupied with putting the lift on to notice.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

Not sure they are the same wheel. Pic one has one wheel weight at 2 o'clock. Pics 4 and 5 have two weights at 6 o'clock.

They probably aren't the same, but they all looked the same (well the front tires were caked on heavier than the rear and these were rear ones I'm pretty sure) I just snapped some shots before, cleaned off the rear tires after working on the rear brakes and then grabbed one and took a shot of it before putting the tire back on. I was cleaning them off as an after-thought and didn't really put tons of time into it as I had my brakes to take care of.

i dont dare even look inside my wheels, ive driven tons of miles on gravel roads, dirt roads, muddy roads etc. I probably wouldnt be able to touch the insides of my wheels, but i might this summer, since i have a pressure washer, ill just blast off the 2" thick (was when tires were put on) coating of gravel dust, among other things!
