  • Trucks! - Lets see um

One of the most overlooked vehicles when it comes to detailing, is the pickup truck. I for one, could never drive a car, and have always owned a large truck. Lets see those clean, sweet, TRUCKS!

Here is my F-150, soon to be retired to the garage for Sunday drives. A new F-150 will replace it for the daily driver.

It is washed every other day, and kept up with 2 coats of #21, topped with GC

      gb387,

I recently purchased a new Ford Eaton supercharger assembly for the 5.4 in mine. I plan on doing the swap in a few weeks, when I pick up my new F-150.

Always loved the Lightnings, but couldnt handle a single cab. I like the sleeper look too

Awesome truck! Do you ever browse the f150online forums?

        OK you asked for it!!!

        My truck is a 1988 Ford F250, 4.9 6CYL. , 5 speed.

I noticed this trucked park on the side of a house near one of my clients. The registration was 5 years expired and it was covered in dirt and spider webs. The bed was full of junk.

One day as I drove by I noticed the owner outside near the truck. I stopped and asked if the truck was for sale.

Long story short, it was a chicken farm truck with only 77,000 miles on it. We put a new battery in it and it fired right up. Everything works, A/C, radio, etc... EVERYTHING!

I have used this truck to tow cars, trailers, haul junk to the dump (even concrete from a 30 foot drive way) lumber from home depot, picked up a few short blocks and other parts, and it is an awsome truck.

It has good brakes, good tires and purrrrrrrrrrrs like a kitten.

It is a "little" beat up but I took it home for $1200

          Joe,

What year did they start using the powerstrokes in the 250's? 91? Sweet deal for $1200! As the saying goes... " One mans junk is another mans treasure"

Here is my 2002 F150 FX4. I wash it at least twice a week and use Last Touch Detailer on it almost everyday. A couple of times a month I use 80 along with 26 or NXT. I also use a whole bunch of other Meguiar's stuff on it. I have over 65,000 miles on it, and it looks better than the day I bought it. Still, I did once bury it to the skid plates in mud/silt/sand.

I agree on the small cab... but you never have to drive anywhere or haul people around.

It has been sometime since I have been on f150online... reason is the more I visit f150online and NLOC (National Lightning Owners Club) I want to spend money on the truck. Not the best time to do that, when my factory warranty is up I would like to do some suspension upgrades first then move on to MORE power! So I figure MOL isn't to hard on the wallet!

As for your supercharger... If you have never had a SC vehicle... the sound, the sound!

Yeah, no kidding.... and how unfortunate

It's time to inject it with some of the General

                  It's not a "pick-up" truck, but a truck nonetheless:

And, a pic of my last truck:

LOL.... actually all of those pics were taken with my "old" camera (since I dropped my new one and it's out for service).

It doesn't do a "horrible" job, though -- considering I bought it for $99 at CompUSA about 5 years ago

Here's one of the 'voy with my "good" digital.... and I'll find/upload a 35MM scan of that blazer in a bit.

I could have a car, but I just love my TRUCK!!!
