Rusty, that is a tough question! lol Its like asking a mechanic whether or not he prefers using socket wrenches or crescent wrenches, each has its plays in the spectrum of things.

Mike, just think of how much skin you have lost on that side of the buffer!!! lol I bet that someone couldn't pay you enough to have to forever switch to a bail handle! haha

                  wow Mike,

You Avitar has so much meaning to me now!

I always thought it was just a goofy picture of a lego guy's reflection in a TOASTER ro something like that.

Pretty impressive that you and your rotary get along so well, even though it seems to be a love hate relationship....

                  Man loves buffer
                  Buffer loves paint
                  Man loves paint
Bufer loves watching Man's hands bleed
                  Man hates buffer
                  Man misses buffer
                  Man loves buffer again

It's all just part of the circle of life.

Hmmm.......I should have figured that one out myself.

Hopefully, I'll feel the same way when I decide to take on the rotary.

I'll be posting a very thorough write-up as I did a lot of sun shots after each step and after each step I wiped the finish down with a 50/50 mix of Isopropyl Alcohol and water to show the true condition of the finish.
i'm looking at trying a 50/50 mix of Isopropyl Alcohol and water when i have a practice with some new products in the new year.

do you spray this on or wipe it on with a cloth?

                      Thanks

                          Mike:

I had seen those pics a while back, car looks awesome, but then again what else would we expect from the master himself.

What I found interesting from your comments was that you mentioned using a 50/50 mix of water/isopropyl alcohol. I had been told a while back that this was the only way of seeing if the swirls were really removed from the panel since the polishing oils in the polish itself that lubricate the surface while buffing can sometimes temporarily hide some defects leading us to believe that they are gone, when in fact they may still be there to some degree.

I recently tried using the 50/50 mix of water/isopropyl alcohol and so far it seems that you do see the true condition of the finish when you wipe down the panel with it.
