  • NXT - It's not just for cars.

Aside from making it look killer, it makes it 100x easier to get road grime off it after a long ride.

      rofl, I wish.

I must also note that it's a very BAD idea to use Hotshine (or anything else) on bike tires (in case that wasn't obvious already).

LMAO, well if you did the tires, I hope you didn't do the seat and handgrips! lol

Now I'm glad I'm not the only one that details thier bike. I have #21 on mine as well as some bulk 3M paint protection film on the frame. For what I paid for it, I want to protect it all that I can.

I just use Gold Class shampoo and #6 on the mountain bike, it gets too beat up to worry about doing much more. Well, OK, I have used ScratchX on it a couple times.

I wish I could wax the road bike but it’s bare, brushed metal .

I do use Meg’s Leather conditioner on both saddles.

Good bike you have there. How many miles do you ride at a time?

If that question's for me, short rides are 15-25, medium rides are 25-70, and long rides are 70-100.

I'm slacking this season though. My longest ride is 94, but I've only got around 1500 in for the year.

When you find it bring it on down.

Since the road frame is brushed the polysh isn’t quite the right product for it. But the gooseneck is polished so we can do that.

We can do the swingarm and fork crown on the Mountain bike too. Hmmm, if we’re shooting before-and-afters then I guess we’ll need to clay, #80 and #21 the main triangle and fork sliders too. While we’re at it, might as well #40 all the cable housings…

wax on road bikes - professional riders

Just an FYI - i love the wax on everything! =) I once tried to wax my bathroom tiles w/ gold class b/c I got tired trying to scrub the tub! no comment

anyways - i heard that wax on bikes tend to make them heavier which is a bad thing on bikes. just a thought.... overall - looks hot! Don't forget leather conditioner on the saddle

Try using a ****** based cleaner on the saddle. Helps a lot with saddle sores on long rides.

I wax my TT bike once a week with NXT, it looks the same as the day I got it and it has about 6000 miles on it. Its going to get replaced with its new carbon fiber verision soon though.

I can't imagine the wax would amount to any appreciable weight. I could leave one CO2 cartridge at home and probably make up that much weight. The wax sure makes them easier to clean though!

Waaaaaay long time ago, in 1976, I did my BSA 650 tires and seat with Armor All. The result was predictable.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.
