  • Tesla S, Black '13 Decontaminated, Polished, Protected.

So here we have a new, well used Tesla S.
This owner take this to the local Gas Station Wash-N-Scratch.

Water washed and Nano Skined on my DA, yes it required that aggressive of decontamination, and for a new car too, 5 month old.

    Paint:
Polish, M205, Meg's MF Cutting disk on my Flex.
Sealant, M20 on a Meg's Soft Buff Yellow pad on my G100
    Rims:
Meg's WB and sealed up with Meg's D156 Express Wax
    Tires and trim:
M38 Tire and Trim Gel and Meg's Trim Spray.
    Interior:
Vac, wipe down and Optimum Leather Protectant.
    Glass:
    Meg's D156 Express Wax

Strange thing I've noticed on these cars is that the rear wheels get more break dust on them then the front ones do.

    and the front rims

Here's a problem with the Fronk. You see the rubber seal at the top? Well basically this is where the "outside starts so the whole Fronk area gets really dirty,

Here's the Fronk all clean. You see what I mean about the rubber? Another piece of rubber trim needs to be at the edge of the Hood/fender/front.

Nice and dirty, looks more like a presus then a Tesla

    aaaa, swirly city!

I had to pull this out from under my awning to get all the scratchies from all the washies

so I'm thinking they used to old Kitty wash mit on this one

or as someone said on my Brabus post, a porcupine wash mit?

man they didn't miss a spot with that porcupine mit

and the tell tale marks of the Wash-N-Scratch. Drip marks from the mirrors

Well enough of that sickening stuff. On to the work!
here's a 50/50 test spot with 205, MFCP and only a few passes to see the paints reaction
    and the paint likes it!
    left, 205
    right, porcupine

    Left: 205
    Right: Porcupine

Left: A few more passes with 205
Right: the porcupine wash mit marks still need a few more passes

Lunch time! as I was pounding beers at the bar I was looking at his fob and even it was abused. But these fobs are still very cool

    TA-DA

    Soooooo much better

    Porcupine freeeeee!

    And now for some candy

I love a good refection shot
    Hood

    Roof

I tried to get my van on the lip but the angle was wrong. But look at that shine on the glass!

Looks awesome! I'm impressed you were able to get that much correction with only 205. I see a Tesla Roadster at a doctor's office where I work all the time. I really want to detail it.

    Guard: And your name is...?
    Dr. Detail: Uhh... Shiney McShine.

      Nice work!

Interesting combo of M205 with a MF cutting pad...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

        Thanks mate!
The 205 MF system works extremely well, especially with a Bigfoot.

Looking really good Mario! Great job in removing majority of the swirls. M205 does work wonders.

          Keep up the good work!

            Thanks!
I'm trying to keep it up, I got a call yesterday to do a Red Tesla. So I'll now have 3 under my belt. I love these cars!

Nice work, Mario! Man, these Tesla Model S speed demons (check out the YouTube vid of a Model S leaving an M5 behind in a straight up drag race) are all over SoCal these days.

Yes they are Mike. They are my favorite car now!
I got to drive one of them and the experience is like nothing I've every experienced in a "car" before.
                Just amazing.

I once drove through the 405 from Long Beach to Huntington Beach and saw 5 Tesla's in that trip alone...

Would you get similar results using UP in place of 205?

Probably, they are similar. But I don't use UP

Finally got to detail my first Model S today, and I gotta agree, these are pretty sweet cars. I've thought they were cool driving by, but getting in it and working on it up close gives you a whole nother level of appreciation for them - and I didn't even feel what it was like on the road.

Mighta got a little car fever for the first time in a while
