This is just 1 photo of a few to come in the next few days. I'm doing a 1999 Chevy Suburban full correction. Scratches that are too deep or chips I'm not repairing. Just the swirls for the most part. This paint is thrashed pretty good. I'm doing it over the course of this week at nights after my main job. So another reason why photos will be slow to get on. I am not doing a detail on the vehicle, just the correction process and a polish between the steps.
More than likely this will be my main go to for the entire vehicle but am going to try the far below ideas and see what each does for me. Since I've got it all week and about 5-6 hours each night to play with it, I've got time.
Items to be used are as followed:
_________________________________________________________
Main go to I believe:
Clay with Nanoskin Autoscrub 6" Pad with Glide lubricant
DA Microfiber Correction System
D300 Correction Compound on 5.5" MF pad
Either Ultimate Polish or Show Car Glaze on a yellow foam pad
D301 Finishing Wax on 5.5" MF pad
________________________________________________________________
These are ideas to try and see if these work, as well as the MF system
Taping a section into 1/4's and play around with variations
1st section - Yellow Foam pad with Ultimate Compound followed by UP then NXT or Ultimate Liguid Wax
2nd section - Yellow Foam pad with M105 followed by M205 then NXT or Ultimate Liquid Wax
3rd section - D300 CC with MF pad followed by D301 Finishing Wax
4th section - D300 CC with MF pad followed by UP or Show Car Glaze followed by D300 Finishing Wax
Here is a before after photo of one section of a door. Left side I did 5-6 passes with D300 correction compound on a 5.5" MF pad then followed up with D301 Finishing Wax on a 5.5" MF pad.
This truck has a lots of RIDS and deep scratches and scuffs that are deep. So although it's a big difference from the right side, it'll still have those marks there. I demonstrated with the customer there watching and they were amzed aat the results and how smooth the paint feels, like smooth creamy silky milk chocolate. lol
