We know all too well how hard it can be at times to really capture the damage that exists before getting started, so that shot of the panel with the tape removed speaks volumes about the work you did here. We can only imagine how horrible this paint must have looked in person as it looks incredibly hazy, flat and dull where the tape had been. Sure, there are some deeper scratches left behind, but look at the level of clarity, the purity of color and the overall gloss. Sometimes it's just smarter to make the judgment call and leave those deeper marks, especially when dealing with a vehicle like this - it's age, the way it's used, customer expectations, etc. Great work all around!!

Thank you all for your comments. It makes me feel good when 1, the customer is happy, and 2 I get beginner, novice and hardcore pros, and those occasional great Meg's employess, commenting on my accomplishment!! Thank you all again!!

I did notice there are still a few small very very light swirls in the hood. I told him I have no problem going over the hood again for no extra. He was my main guinea pig anyway. So was good practice for sure and I sure was happy. He's a good long time friend, so all is good!
