Always Detailed: 2008 Lexus IS F

Hi...I've been to a couple of the Meguiar's Thursday Night Open Sessions as well as I attended the Saturday class...if you haven't gone, you need to go. It's a wealth of information and everyone who attends is super cool.

I've own this car for 3.5 years now and I believe it's in great condition for 73,500 miles (it had 6 miles and was sitting in the showroom when I purchased it), it's washed every week (even if it's going to rain on Tuesday), waxed at least 6 times a year. I take as best care of it as I can. ALWAYS have used Meguiar's products. In my opinion, it's very well priced ($16 bottle of NXT 2.0 wax lasts me like a 1.5 years) and works extremely well....I don't have a ton of pictures, but you don't really need a ton. I took this picture with my iphone (got lazy and didn't want to get out the SLR).

With proper care and maintenance with Meguiar's products, I hope to keep this car for the rest of my life.

The process was easy....
1) Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo Wash
2) Meguiar's Detailing Clay Kit w/ Quick Detail
3) Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Wax
4) Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detail wipe down.
5) Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss Tire Gel

No interior shots but it's done with Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner, Meguiar's M40 Vinyl / Rubber Cleaner, Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner.

I love the Ultrasonic Blue color....it ***** that they now have all the other IS models in this color. It used to be an IS F exclusive color... =(

Well, they may have the same color, but certainly not that pulse-pounding 5 liter V8 . I was never a Toyota fan much, but I tell ya, I love me some Lexus

We remember when you first brought that car to our place when it was brand spanking new - it was the first time most of the guys here that night had ever seen an F and they were drooling all over it! Even though you haven't become a regular at out TNOG sessions it is very rewarding to know that you're a regular when it comes to taking care of this modern hot rod with Meguiar's products. And we must say, she's still looking every bit as hot as that first day you brought her down here!

I hope to be able to bring it around again soon! You guys gotta hear it now! It's straight piped....it doesn't sound very Lexus anymore at all! And it sometimes backfires! =) The Meguiar's Saturday class was the best! All the things I've learned from that class and the few TNOG sessions I've been to, along with all the great Meguiar's products, helps me keeping my cars looking awesome!

Looks like my brake cooling duct was hungry for more than just air...

BTW...incase some of you are wondering about one of the pics where you can see right through the exhaust tips and you'll notice there's no muffler...

well...there isn't a muffler back there...nor is there a resonator. VROOM

Thanks "mate"! Car now has 96,000 miles...it had a transmission failure at 87,000 miles But she's fixed now obviously and I'm having a blast with her. This weekend I'm going to do a full detail on the car. There's some swirls on the car that has built up over the years. It's not a lot, but to all of us nuts here on MOL, it's a lot!

Nice, goes to show that even if one doesn't have the newest and most durable meguiars sealant, any car can and will look good, and this is a perfect example of that. NXT 2.0 isn't the newest or most durable wax from meguiars anymore, but you obviously enjoy detailing, and it clearly shows here. Transmission repairs (automatics in my case) can really be costly, and it ***** when that happens. But after financial and emotional sacrifices including ups and downs, all the pain is immedately gone. A repaired car (whatever aspect of it) will make the owner real happe again... Very nice!

I still have some NXT wax, but after that's all gone, I'll make the complete switch over to using Ultimate Wax. I actually like it a lot better!
