How would you compare the Meguiar's Cutting pad to the LC orange light cutting pad? Are they comparable or is the meg's maroon pad a lot harder than the LC orange?

Thanks for the write up you provided on the process of how you clean the interior! It always comes out looking like new!

Marc, were you asking me regarding the pad questions, or Greg? I dont have the orange LC pads.

I could write a book on cleaning interiors. Those 2-3 little paragraphs above are what you would find on the back of a book.

Upholstery cleaning, headliner cleaning, leather cleaning/care, streak free glass, trunk carpeting, clear plastic, etc are all things I could go on about.

Thank you Nick for the tips. Are you using the dilution ratio on the container for the 3D soap or something different?
        Fergy-

You're only as good as your last detail

Once again Nick you're work shows quality. Hopefully you have a new client on your hands. Both cars turned out great as always and I'll be waiting at a local book store for your book on interiors to come out

Yes, I am using the dilution ratio that is on the label.

Cannot think of it right now but I always look before I use it.

I may have to pick up some of those orange and yellow LC pads, my green pads are getting worn out and seem to be losing their cut.

do you recommend the green lc pads? I have some hologramming on my metallic black dodge after a light compounding, and i cant figure out how to get rid of them. it sounds like a green pad and maybe some 205 would do the trick, would anyone have any insight on the best solution? Tuck, that 6 series looks great

What did you use to compound your truck with? pad, product, machine?

I like the green LC 5.5" CCS pads for AIO type applications such as M66, D301, etc.

I mainly use the LC white pads for use with M205 as a one step or after compounding.

I would try M205 on a white or green LC pad or maybe even some D301 on a microfiber finishing disc.

Very Nice job as Always, Nick. You always do great work.

How long do these details normally take you?

Mine always take me at least 2 days. I think I'm just too picky and spend too much time on trying to get the paint as good as possible. I don't do this as a business, so I'm sure that is also a reason for them taking me so long. I only do friends and family vehicles and have only done 6 vehicles over the past 8 months.

Do you have any tips, tricks or suggestions that help you get things done in a reasonable amount of time? The last vehicle I did was Jeep Grand Cherokee that I did over 2 days time. It probably takes me an hour or so to wash and dry and then another hour or so to clay and then maybe 8 hours to tape and polish and then an hour to wax and another 3 hours sweeping and wiping down the interior and door jambs.

Just looking for ways to speed things up so that I don't have to keep vehicles as long.

                        UC white pad/pcxp

i've tried 205 and a white pad, didn't really get any results

ill have a shot at the d301/finishing pad, im just not sure if i'm needing more cut, or have soft paint and needing less. this is the only color i've had problems getting down perfect

the d301 isn't just going to cover/fill them in do you think?

                          Thank you.

Working at normal speed would take me two days as well but time is money.

Usually I can do a one step exterior and an interior in 6-9hrs depending on the size of the vehicle.

Some tips I have learned to save time.

                          Clay while washing
Do all door jambs & windows last
Have all equipment ready to go before the detail.
Take only one or two breaks every 4-5 hrs.

The D301 will probably do a combo of filling and correcting/finishing.

I would give it a shot.
