This is a new GMC Sierra in Black that I detailed over the weekend. The owner wanted it simply clayed and waxed. After I showed him the minor swirls he gave me the green light to do what I felt was necessary to get it looking presentable.
The truck was more dusty than anything else. It doesn't look too bad from a distance.

So I started off with the wheels and tires with a traditional wash. Once they were cleaned and dried off I moved on to the truck body with some ONR. This past Saturday was up in the high 80's low 90's. I've worked on a crew cab black GMC in full sun (about 98 degrees) during summer and I'm never doing that again as long as I have the choice of course. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36880
During the ONR spray down (you can see a bit of the heat vapors rising)

After the wipedown

All cleaned up. (Don't mind the dungeon looking garage still in the works)

So I decided to go with the D300 and some D301 on the MF pads. Some of the streaking is from the wipe down.

All done after 7:45 hours. I finished it off with some #20

Engine was wiped down and dressed with HD
Door jambs wiped down and all wheel wells were cleaned and spray waxed on painted areas.
Interior was just wiped down with Interior quick detailer.
The owner is waiting on his shell which he wants me to go over as well. He understands that a black vehicle needs to be maintained unlike any other color so he would like to have me detail it at least twice a year.
By the way he was in awe when he saw the end results. He couldn't stop smiling which is always priceless for me. I'm scheduled to detail his daughters car this Saturday so I hope to take some pics and share with you all. As you can tell I've been lacking write ups.
