    2004 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4, 56k miles

Client wanted a full interior detail, and a good cleanup and some protection on the exterior.

Her main concern was with the leather.

    Some befores:

I washed the wheels, tires, wells, and running boards with Deep Crystal Car Wash,Super Degreaser, and Wheel Brightener.

I also rinsed the mud out of the frame and undercarriage.

I washed the truck with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner, lower areas were treated with Body Solvent and a bug sponge along with soap and water.

looks better just after properly washing it:

I dried it with some Water Magnets, then started working on the interior.

I pulled the mats out, then took these photos:

    The carpet has some stains:

I dry brushed, then vacummed the carpet. I then started by cleaning all the hard surfaces with All Purpose Cleaner, cotton towels, and various brushes.

Here is a 50/50 of the leather:

The carpet was cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, warm water, and a carpet brush. I extracted with my shop vac, water, and cotton towels:

I dressed the interior with Quik Interior Detailer, the door jambs were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.

I then went ahead and started the exterior.

I clayed the paint and chrome with Detailing Clay (Mild) and Last Touch Spray Detailer at 1:1.

I then applied #66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax) with my G110, and several W8207 pads. I sealed the roof and wheels by hand with #20 - Polymer Sealant.

I topped that with my 70/30 mix of #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer and Ultimate Quik Wax.

Tires and trim were dressed liberally with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner, wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing at 2:1.

Glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1, the chrome running boards were wiped down with it as well.

It was raining the entire time of the detail, but here are a few after pictures outside:

On my way to deliver the truck:

    lower panels beaded up nicely:

Nice turn out on the F150 Nick. Too bad it had to be driven in the rain before the customer could see it. Still, it looks great even after that!

Wow!!! The difference is night and day after the wash by itself. It looked even better with the LSP. Great job on the interior as well!!! I can't believe warm water with APC would clean it up like that. I would imagine a steamer or an extractor is needed for the amount of dirt in it. They went to the right guy!

Beautiful clean up Nick. Nice to see a truck with dirt on it.

Tell me; have you ever walked into the trailer hitch? I did, once. It ^&^$&^*$&* hurt!

Looks great Nick. Love the 50/50 of the leather seats! Tell me you didn't scrub those with that dinky toothbrush, haha!

Now that's funny. Been there and done that. After what came out of my mouth, it was a good thing small children weren't around.

Nick, the leather came out great. It was pretty nasty.

How many cotton towels do you typically use on an interior for the carpets? Always been curious.

                      Thanks Paul!

I must say, the mud rinsed off pretty easily with just a hose, must have just been softer mud.

The trailer hitch came in handy for climbing into the bed to detail the roof, but there have been a few times in the past where I have just walked into one and did not realize it until it was too late.

I actually did use a shoe polish brush to create the initial slurry, then scrub small concentrated areas with the toothbrush, LOL.

The bristles turned brown at the end.

                        Thanks Colin.

I always keep two large white bath towels on hand to do the drying, Usually by the end they are pretty damp, not soaking wet or anything.

I then usually follow up with a smaller cotton towel for a final wipe and tighter areas.

                          Nice work.

Btw does Meg's 66 same purpose with Meg's ColorX?

What brush did you use to clean leather seats?

                          Thanks

Truck looks good like everything else you detail.

Do you do some sort of quick detail wipe down when delivering a vehicle on wet roads?
