Meguiars M66 and ColorX serve the same purpose but have a couple of differences.

M66 is more aggressive than ColorX and can remove light defects, it is similar in aggression to M80 Speed Glaze.

While M66 is formulated for use by hand, its mainly used for machine application.

I used a shoe polish brush followed by a toothbrush to clean the leather.

No, I would be a little too worried about marring up the paint. It was going to get wet again anyways so I was not too worried about it.

If a customer was really that upset, I would offer a discount on one of my maintenence washes.
