Okay...so I think I have figured out your game Nick. You get this older vehicle and take pictures of it's filth, scratches, swirls and grime. Then, you pop over to the nearest dealership and take pictures of a NEW vehicle and post that as your work. HA! After all this time, I nailed the truth.
Gotta hand it to ya, it fooled me for awhile.
In all seriousness, another great job Nick. And I truely believe that even a NEW vehicle wouldn't look as good. You perform flawlessly on everything you touch. Nice work Nick. FANTASTIC!
Thanks Don! LOL!
Even for such a basic detail such as this one, its still a bit of work.
how long did it take you to clean the leather with a toothbrush? i would have NEVER thought of using a toothbrush as a detailing tool!!!!
I've thought of a toothbrush before, but I got the idea for cleaning leather with a toothbrush from Tuck. I started work on it, but it was taking forever. I went to my brush selection and found a brush that I had that has the same, or pretty close, texture and softness as the bristles on a toothbrush. It was a dishwashing brush I got from Wal-Mart. Its head is equal to about 5 or 6 toothbrushes, so I guess you could say it cleaned 5-6 times as fast!

About an hour.
You would be suprised how much better a toothbrush cleans than just using a leather cleaner or APC and a cotton towel.
I also use a toothbrush for cleaning pedals, steering wheels, and gear shifter handles.
I never understood why everyone buys all these fancy and expensive details brushes. I have seen some "leather" brushes cost over $10.
Then there is the fancy "wheelwell brushes", you know the ones that cost over $15 and do not even fit inside the wheelswells half the time.
A slim head toilet brush works great and is available at Walmart for $2.19. It does the job better, easier, and is more effective. I can clean about 500 wheelwells before it comes time for replacement, I think I am getting a good deal.

I agree Nick. A toothbrush is so versitile. I use them all the time. In fact, when I visit my dentist for a cleaning, they offer a free toothbrush each time. I use to ask for 2 or 3 and now the Hygienist just automatically hands me two. Got quite a collection of 'em now. Some mighty fine colors too!

I have about twelve or so somewhere in the house.
But I usually keep three good ones in the garage, the one I use for leather cleaning is starting to get a little worn out.
Yeah, Tuck, you just did all of those Dentist office details. How many free toothbrushes did you score?
I actually did not get any LOL. Never thought of asking until now.
The Navigator wasnt from the office though, it belongs to one of my regular client's daughter. I have done some cars for him last year and a couple more this year:
