  • Tech Wax on black... its been a while

Its been a while since I have used Tech Wax 2.0 as my LSP on black. I figured I would use it on this black car since it got its usual monthly cleanup last week,

I forgot how great it looks on black:

Just thought it would be fun.

It must be a real hardship to work in those conditions, Nick. lol Great work as always. That paint looks fantastic.

Just curious, what do you normally use as LSP? That Benz looks magnificent, great work!

M20 Polymer Sealant, sometimes M26, and M21 once in a while.

My favorite finishing combo on black is M20 --> M21 2.0. It leaves it protected for months, and gives it an absurd level of reflectivity.

Why havent I tried that combo yet? Sure sounds like a good one.

I love it! It's a great way to clean the surface (m20) and then seal it up with some awesome Hydrophobic polymers.

Re: Tech Wax on black... its been a while

I hadn't used NXT all summer, but applied it about 3 weeks ago on my Porsche.
I've been using Glasur on her, but with the weather turning I figured that it's just not worth it at this time of the year - so it's back to the synthetics.
NXT is considerably more reflective than Glasur, but less than MPPP. It is however a dryer look, not as deep or dark, just shinier. More like a rolling mirror than a richly waxed car. It's hard to communicate. One isn't better than the other, just different.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

I agree. I'd love to have my car detailed by Nick just to have everything dressed so nicely, not to mention the overall work he does in general!

The hood on that car almost looks like it's been wet sanded. So clear!
