WOW fellow F-Body owner here a Black WS6. That is one sweet camero. Nice job. Did you find the paint easy or hard to work with and how was the 105/205 product with your car??

I don't really have a reference to compare it to, but based on what I have been reading online the clear coat was very hard. Spot correction of the etching and hood streak required 6-8 total applications of M105, and the horizontal surfaces required 4 applications. One application involved working the M105 until it begin to dust, misting it with Last Touch diluted 1:1, then continuing to work until it dusted again. Remove product with microfiber and repeat.

The pads I assume where new how did you prime them. I'm still working getting things down and just curious how you went about getting the pads ready to use

Hi SpinsB, yes the pads were new and I primed them by placing a thick X of product on the pads and rubbed it in with my thumbs. While working with the M105, I found it to be very thick and would also mist the pad with one spray of Last Touch diluted 1:1 before adding more M105. Once the pad was primed, I would only add about three drops of M105 for each new 2x2 section. I would work that section until the M105 started to dust, then I would mist the panel with Last Touch again keep working until it dusted a second time. I then wiped it down with a MF and inspected the progress.

I primed a separate pad with M205 in the same manner, but found that M205 wasn't nearly as thick and did not require any Last Touch at all. I experienced no dusting with this one either.

LOL, thank you! I think? It took me forever to decide which wheels I wanted, but I'm very happy with the choice. It does pretty well in the fast department too.

That's generally a sign that the product was applied too heavy and/or not given sufficient drying time.

This is waaay too heavy:

You want to work the NXT Tech Wax 2.0 with a finishing pad, speed 3, and light to moderate pressure. Don't move the machine too quickly, but certainly faster than when you're doing defect correction. Just make sure to go over every square inch 3 or 4 times and leave a nice, thin, uniform coat behind. Cover all the painted surfaces of the car and then start your clock - give it 30 minutes to dry, minimum. It may take longer if you're doing this late in the day and temperatures are dropping while humidity is rising. If you apply the wax and then start working on the interior - vacuum, clean, dress, etc - and then dress the tires, wax the wheels or whatever other touch up you might do on them, wipe down the door jambs, a little touch up on the engine bay and finally put away all your detailing supplies, the wax should be fully dry. By this time you've probably spent an hour or more doing all these other things and the NXT should wipe off with virtually no effort, and be streak free in the process.

Thanks Mike, I applied it thin as shown in picture #2 using a finishing pad and speed 4 on the G110. After applying to the entire car, I let it sit while I removed the tape, cleaned the cracks, crevices, and glass, applied tire dressing, cleaned up my supplies, etc. I would estimate that the NXT 2.0 was allowed to set up for 2 hours before removing with a pair of clean Supreme Shine MF towels.

I have used NXT 1.0 several times before, but this was only the second time I had used NXT 2.0. I always remembered 1.0 being a product that was extremely easy to both apply and remove, so I was surprised this time. It appeared greasy and would smear across the surface instead of wiping off. Turning my towel to a fresh area did not help, and I tried multiple different towels including ADS Premium MF. I could even see "trails" from the MF left behind in the greasiness; these trails looked like tiny scratches but they would change direction to match the direction of my wipe. I used NXT 2.0 on Sunday and it is now Wednesday and I am still able to see a lot of cloudiness after several wipedowns of the entire car with SS MF towels. I have not yet tried a full wipedown with Final Touch, but I've read that it may help.

Is it possible that there is something wrong with my bottle of NXT 2.0?
