Old Orange GMC Sierra 2500
Im not 100% sure on the year but I know its gotta be at least twenty years old. This truck was not in too bad of shape. The owner had it completly restored a couple years ago but the paint still looked pretty dull and could definitly use some attention. Nothing major, just a lack of shine and some light swirls/toweling marks. This truck had a clearcoat as well. None of my pads turned orange.
The first thing I did was pull it out into the driveway and wash it with good ole Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner. After this I inspected the paint and there were very little bonded contaminants. But a good claying was still in order on the overspray that was present of the bedside. So I clayed it with the Smooth Surface Clay Kit and Last Touch Spray Detailer.
I did a test spot with #80 - Speed Glaze and #66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax) on my G110 and I went with M66. While it wasnt perfect, it did remove a lot of the swirls and light hologramming that was present on the hood by the previouse detailer. M66 is also rated the same as M80.
I was ahead of schedule so I slapped on some #21 - Synthetic Sealant 2.0 on the truck real quick.
I dressed the tires with Gold Class Endurance High Gloss. The wheels were protected with Ultimate Quik Wax. The glass was cleaned with NXT Generation Glass Cleaner and the chrome was treated with Hot Rims Chrome Polish and #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner was used on the trim. I did the interior but did not take pictures of it. Tomorrow I will take some if you want.
