      Re: Quik ambulance detail

      Quick update!
I spent some time polishing up the diamond plateing on our second due rig scine the first due is out for repairs.....as you will see below....and servicing. Nothing major since this rig was in good shape. I also added some action shots of what happens when you go up a guide wire.

Oooops! Rear ended just as they were pulling into the hospital, everyone is ok except for the ambulance. I just started working on the diamond plate on this one....first due....so now I'll have a fresh rear end to work with!

      BIG TIME OOOOOPS

This kid was either speeding, fell asleep, or fell asleep while speeding. Traveled up the guide wire, spun around and flipped onto its roof. He walked away with a few scratches.....how? No one will ever know. A few inches and it would have been a totally different story.

It sure is nice and clean.
A few years ago a same type of accident happened just near my house.
A lady driven car went up a guide wire over turned and was hit by an other vehicle, think she was driving fast.No one was badly injured but the lady was in a state of shock. She had raw meat in her car that fell on the road with its blood, at first site i though i was human flesh

Looks GREAT! Thank goodness for a slow day. Keep up the good work. Oh, thank you for serving. You have a tough job and do not always get a pat on the back....so here it is....pat..pat..pat!

            Looks Amazing.

Wait so what do you do if you are applying wax and you get a call? Do you just wipe it off and apply more at a later time?

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

            I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.

              Thanks everyone!

G Force, I would've loved to see your expression! I had an MVA where a lady was drinking once of those Iced Frapachino things from Starbucks when she got hit. The airbag hit it and it exploded everywhere. When I got in the car all I saw was white frothy stuff all over her, the dash....seats...everywhere. Cup was found way in the back!

Rgcurtis, Thank you! It can be a thankless job but it's still worth it in my eyes. THANK YOU for your service!

Andrew, I do small sections at a time. No more then a 2x2 foot section. It makes it alot easier when the tones drop.

Doesn't that take forever waiting for each 2 foot section to dry?

Andrew, Nope, I usually move onto something different like cleaning the interior.....the diamond plateing....tires, I let it sit for about 20-25 minutes, when I do the rigs I'm not worried about much in the way of paint corrections, just as long as it has a nice shine and no "HEY LOOK AT ME!!" scratches or water spots (we
have very hard water here). I can live with the swirls as they're no too obvious.
All I use is DC paint cleaner and NXT 2.0 the majority of the time.

Ok gotcha, I thought you meant you did the wax in that method

Thank you KC. She is definately a nice looking rig when she's clean. Which is most of the time from Tuesday thru Friday!!

Jeff, Thanks alot for that comment, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately if you get hurt and I get called out to come and get ya.....well I'll try to get there as fast as I can, but it'll take me at least 42 or more hours to get there going Warp drive! Then the problem would be getting me to leave! I'm sure AZ is nice and warm this time of the year!!

42 hours is nothing....it's a flesh would, 'tis but a scratch! Small sacrifice to lay there in pain for 42 hours to get picked up in a swirl free shining ambulance LOL How can I possibly be seen in anything less?

Come on out, 72 and partly cloudy today

LOL!!! Thanks man, 72 and partly cloudy is definately worth the sacrifice. It's 52 and raining up here........is it May yet??

Ohh and it's swirl free no more. I got it that way for our open house....after that the vollies go to town when they wash it.
