  • Meguiars Photo Shoot - Behind the Scene!

Today I had the chance to detail a Porsche boxster that was used for a Meguiars product shoot. I understand that it will be used as a back drop for various products in printed material as well as on the internet.

The car is a rare "burnt orange" color.

The car didn't look too bad at first but it wasn't up to my or Meguiars standards.

See in this first pic that it has a bit of micro maring (spiderweb). Not much for the average car but we had to get it near perfect.

I first tried swirl free polish with the PC. It wasn't aggresive enough for the results I wanted. I then changed to a new clean pad and used DACP. That worked great. That was then followed by swirl free polish then topped with NXT.

This car had allot of very hard water spots in all the nooks and crannies. We removed them by had with a dab of Diamond cut on a rag.

After a few hours the car didn't look half bad--

Here is a shot of the rear section. The vents in the qrtr panel had lots of hard waterpots in them.

Here is a shot of the car just after we pulled it inside.

Here you can see the car with a few people working in the background shooting pics of some Meguiars products. I saw a few new items that will come out soon in a catalog or online. The black bag on the table had "NXT" on it--uummmmmmm what could it be.

I saw a few new things but I don't think it would be appropriate to comment on them. Ask Mike Phillips !

As for new products, I cannot say anything at this time. If you want to be the first to see the new products for 2005, then be on Meguiar's Online Sunday evening, November 7th!

Black satchel with NXT imprinted on it. What could it be? Hummm. Must consult my Oiaja board. What? A NXT Car Care Kit? Really?

                              NXT Tech Wash
                              NXT Tech Wax
                              NXT Tech Booster Spray Wax
                              NXT Tech Protectant
                              NXT Tech Metal Polish
                              NXT Tech Cleaner/Polish

Toss in a couple Ultimate Wipes, terry cloth towels and NXT decals at a great price and the world will beat a path to the NXT door.

All this packed in a nice canvas satchel for only $X9.99

Hey, my Oiaja board is seldom wrong. Hurry up November 7th.
