Around here I don't see that as insane. I'm sure we've all been there.
    Great job! Paint looks amazing.

WOW! Now I know how I want my car to look like. Very similar color. This is my benchmark now.

        Thanks,

cześć perkoz. good to see a fellow countryman on the forum. I was thinking about getting a DA but I'll stick to my arms for the time being. I'm a big boy and could use some exercise.

Ok, I've just tried a new process with a few new products and wanted to share the result which blasted me out.

I did the whole body with ScratchX, followed by DC2, followed by Gold Class Liquid Wax followed by NXT 2.0 applied the next day. The other things were done the ordinary way.

It took me about 11 hours over 2 days and when I was done I couldn't feel my arms but I think now I got to what is called "mirror-like reflection". Thanks for looking.

BTW, here are some old photos which show how the car looked 1.5 years ago before I discovered Meguiars. I can't say I neglected it ... I just didn't detail it the correct way.

Do you think it is an extreme make-over??

                      To go from this...

                      To this...

That's pretty impressive considering you did this all by hand.

                      Nice work!

Well, if you look at the dates you'll see that it took me slightly more than one year of systematic detailing to get my car to looking like that. I suppose I could get the same result with rotary and DA in one or two days. But machines are my [near] future. Right now, I'm still enjoying working by hand. You really do learn a lot this way.

At our Saturday classes we put the emphasis on BOTH Hand Techniques and Machine Techniques because both are important. Even if you have a machine of some type, there are places where you can't use a machine like the louvers on this Mosler. Each louver had to be rubbed-out by hand.

When you move onto machine cleaning and polishing you'll appreciate the power and effectiveness machine offer but everyone needs to master the art of polishing paint by hand first... and then the machine.
